Home

I'm definitely home, and I say this in only the fondest terms, even though I'm currently locked in a room with game tape (okay, not locked, nevertheless.) I'll be here for the next three hours, I think, so what the heck.

Always sad to leave real-Ohio-home behind, but I could have done it on better circumstances. I made breakfast this morning and cut myself real bad on the fruit chopper - just touched the blades and all of a sudden there's blood everywhere. Lucky I didn't need stitches. It keeps bleedin', though, and I think I'm psychologically scarred from choppers now, which sucks, cause I got a new veggie chopper at home I'd like to try. But if there's one thing I'm really sensitive about, it's my fingertips. Which is weird, cause they're always calloused anyway. But I'm...squeamish, I think I figured out after I started, like, hyperventilating and shaking this mornin'. I mean, bleed me anywhere else and I'm cool, but my fingers, man...

Well, enough of that. It was just a scarring part of my day that I can't seem to forget cause my fingers are sorta important, so I...shared it, congratulations for all of you.

Rest of the day was WAY better. I called up Hines and told him I'd be goin' to South Side, where our practice facility is, so he brought Zeusy! There is nothin' like watching game tape with your rotty curled up beside you. Or, even better, throwin' with him beside you. Man, it felt like football today. All my wide receivers were at South Side today - it's like a gift. So I got to throw for over an hour, even with the cut. Now, not like I don't normally throw every day, but who I'm throwin' to just depends who shows up, since practices aren't official yet. Couple weeks ago I ended up throwin' to the linebackers, so havin' my WRs there, all of em, is...real, real nice. Then team lunch and now gametape. If I close my eyes, I can almost believe minicamp isn't for another two months. But it might as well be now, most of us are in town and already working out and practicing, minus contact, of course. I want it NOW.

Anyway, speakin' of camps, baseball's opening day's today. *grins* Don't usually get excited for anything other'n football, really - cause even with basketball, I know it's gonna be a looong season. But. This one's different, I guess. Got to know you baseball boys, didn't I? Good luck on all of ya playin' today, and good luck to everyone's teams - unless of course, you're a D-Back or a D-Back fan, in which case, screw yerself. *grins*

March Madness concludes tonight, fittingly, in April. I ain't really cheering for either, I'm just expecting a good game. All my favorite teams're out, and my brackets sunk me, and we ain't gonna talk about that anyway. It'll be a good night at home, anyway.

Alright, I should probably go, and I sorta will. I got a stack of game tape to get through. I'm not much in the mood for it today, but I've made a resolution that I'ma watch it every day I can, and dammit, I'ma follow that. Game tape is so frustrating, though. I can me only lookin' at half the field lotsa times and I just wanna cringe, but - it'll be better. Next season. Soon, soon.
