I've got some good news, and some bad news...
Well, I'll start with the bad news... My mother is back in the hospital. My dad took her into the hospital Thursday night cause she was complaining about numbness and apin in her left arm and her speech was slurred a little bit. They did a CAT scan and chest X-ray and didn't find any bleeding in her brain or any clogged arteries or anything, so they think that a blood clot from her surgery a couple of weeks ago went up into her brain and caused a minor stroke.
In the hospital late Thursday night, she got some of the feeling and movement back, but it went numb again shortly after. And on top of that she has a case of kidney stones again. Seems like she always has kidney stones after a surgery. But she is in the hospital for the next couple of days so that they can treat her kidney stones, and see what exactly the problem is and what they can do to help her. She is talking amd moving around really well and the only thing that seems to be bothering her (besides the kidney stones that is) is her left arm, so it could have been a lot worse. Hopefully she will make a speedy recovery and get well soon.
On to the good news... I actually had a pretty good week at work this week. Had a couple of really big trucks, but they went fairly quickly and easily and we got another worker back on the dock to help us process it and they are talking about hiring another guy to work back there, so more help is always good.
In even better news, I am heading up to my girlfriends place this weekend to have some fun and go out and celebrate her friends birthday. So that should be a lot of fun. The last time I went out and had some drinks with some friends was a couple of months ago, so I could definitly use a night of going out and having some drinks.
Well, I am off to pack my bag, go up and visit my mom in the hospital for a little bit, do some running, then head up to Beccas place. Talk to you all later.
