The Year in Review...

January
Started out the year horribly. Had the worst sore throat and sickness that I have had for a very long time. Almost 2 and a half weeks of being sick and missing a New Years party. A lot of the month is kind of a blur with starting back at college again, but a few things stick out in my memory. Getting a couple good grades in Algebra and some rave reviews about my writing being the most noteable.

Febuary
Febuary was spent struggling with college and money problems. I also had some bouts of stress and depression (especially around Valentines day). Then end of the month was marked by a power outage that lasted for half a week in freezing tempratures. Needless to say it was a sucky month despite the continued writing successes in my Creative Writing class.

March
March was marked by what is almost the "crowning achievement" of my writing career. The play I wrote for my Creative Writing class called "The Divine Play" (Or "The World Got Broke Again"). I am pretty proud of it. Here is the link to it.

As they say, with the good comes the bad, it was also during march that my Algebra grade really started sliding. Other than that, not a whole lot happened during March.

April
In April, I strated walking around a local lake and started trying to get into a little better shape. Had a decent Eoster celebration, but afterwards I started feeling like crap.
So I went to the Doctor for a long overdue checkup and blood test. Nothing was wrong, and I got a surprisingly good bill of health. Blood sugar: 105, Cholesterol: 180 (all together). And no infection or diseases. So that was some good news. I also had some good times with some good friends and it was a fairly good month for the most part.

May
Well, College ended got an A+ in Creative Writing, didn't do nearly as well in Algebra.
Work picked up a little, but I was behind on a bunch of bills from paying for college and everything. But it was still the month of the first edition of Rodshark Happy Fun Day
It was also the month that LJ decided to be assholes and deleted a bunch of users and communities that they found "offensive". Luckily people rallied together and forced them to reverse much of the deletions. Oh well, what is LJ without drama?

June
June started off beyond shitty. All the bills I had to neglect a bit to pay for college came to full fruition and I actually had to do something I hadn't done in years, borrow money from my parents. That on top of almost no work, no friends, no girlfriend, and gaining about 10 lbs made June a really awful month.

July
The live action Transformers movie came out, and a couple of my friends moved up closer to where I live, so that was a couple of good things that happened in July. Continuing money problems (although the did begin to get resolved towards the end of the month), and the anniversary of my breakup with Phyllis were a couple of the bad things that happened.

August
My brother giving me a debt consoldation loan, hanging out with my nephew, and having some great times with family and some good friends were some of the high points of August, as well as my birthday and turning 32 years old. Got back in touch with my old friend Donnie when he was home after graduating from Culinary school. It was good seeing him again, but the party at his parents place was not a pleasant experience.

September
September was kind of a strange month. Work picked up a little due to all the Christmas stuff coming in. While its good for the paycheck, it was kinda bad on the body. Met and talked to a girl I nicknamed "Tweety", but that quickly fizzled out. We just weren't compatable and I didn't feel any chemistry or attraction with her. I didn't feel enough towards her to even want to go on a date with her, so it was that bad.
One person I still had a really great chemistry with and attraction towards was my ex-g/f Phyllis when I saw her again at the Skaldic Arts Festival. Although nothing of an intimate nature happened between us, it was really great seeing her and spending the night with her again.

October
Shoulder injury... it sucked, enough said. Lent my car to my parents when they went up to see my brother in Michigan. Other than that, not a whole lot happened. Worked sucked, I hung out with my friends occasionally, and I was broke as per usual.

November
Started out fun enough with a fun quasi-Halloween party at Joe and Karens place. Work sucked and the Holiday seasonal depression was hitting me pretty hard. Wasn't able to hang out with my friends andhad to deal with all the "after thanksgiving" sale stuff at work. Thanksgiving itself was okay enough.

December
Just scroll down a bit... sheesh! Lazy people. Got to see my family and have a pretty good Giftmas (even if the loot was a tad on the boring side). And the after Holiday lull at Bergners happened a little earlier than usual.

So there it is... my year in review. I was trying to spot more positive points and exciting things, but there weren't any really. Oh well.

updates, new years, reviews
