lemmings_ pointed out that in the podcast for Doctor Who episode 4x6 'The Doctor's Daughter', David Tennant, Alice Troughton (the director) and Russell T. Davis start talking about some of the young new talents they've had on the show. In this episode that's Georgia Moffett but also Joe Dempsie who plays Will in 'Merlin'. And at some point Russell points out that it was Alice who'd cast Colin Morgan as Jethro for the upcoming episode 'Midnight' and they all wax lyrical about him. For those who want to hear that for themselves I've put these up on MegaUpload:
The full podcast (.mp3, 20 MB, 45 minutes, the part I'm talking about starts about 18-19 minutes in)
Just the part I'm talking about (.wma, 4,9 MB, 4 minutes)
And for those who'd missed it,
oconel had found a Russell T. Davis quote about Colin Morgan:
"Also, we've auditioned a very handsome Goth-type Jethro. Those eyes! His name is Colin Morgan."
"More importantly, Colin Morgan is beautiful. You meet him in real life and think, yeah, nice, sweet. But he's one of those lucky bastards that the camera absolutely loves. All cheekbones and black hair and mmm! He's a seriously excellent actor too. Every line, he makes a really interesting choice."
Ah Russell, you're such a fangirl :D
