BDS writ large.
I must admit up front that the source which I aim to fsck is rather short on facts and long on hand waving. As such this fsck'ing will not be up to my usual detailed standard, since there is precious little detail to start from.
Now then.
Our BDS suffering foil hatter started with a link to a Dennis Kucinich petition supporting impeachment of the President of the United States. Oddly, the Constitution of the United States makes no mention of petitions when it comes to the impeachment of officials for "high crimes and misdemeanors."
This is what passes for his articles of impeachment:
Your support of an administration which has been so destructive of the U. S. economy, the U. S. military, and the Constitutionally-protected freedoms of the U. S. populace does not speak well of you. Perhaps you were poorly raised, I don't know.
U.S. Economy
According to
BEA numbers from 1Q 2001 to 1Q 2008, the economy has increased at an average of 2.29% per quarter and GDP is now 196.51% of what it was in 1Q 2001. In that time frame there were only two quarters of economic contraction (negative growth), both were in 2001 prior to the Bush tax cuts. That doesn't seem terribly destructive to this observer.
U. S. Military
Have met or exceeded recruitment and retention goals for each fiscal year since 2000 (despite some quarterly shortfalls in recruiting). Again, where is the case of the "U. S. Military" having been "destroyed"?
"Constitutionally-protected freedoms of the U. S. populace"
This one is sufficiently vague that I'll decline to refute until he presents a case (could be a very long wait).
I believe in Constitutional government, if we are to have government at all, and in the people's right, as stated in the Declaration of Independence, "to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
Nothing to disagree with here. I will note that the price for a failed rebellion tends to be steep.
If you think that to be "tinfoil hattery", then you're just another statist, someone who would support the local strongman thug whether a Hitler, a Stalin, a Mao, or a Bush, an enemy of freedom with whom decent people should not associate or tolerate.
What I hold to be "tinfoil hattery" is the unsupported assertion that President George W. Bush and his administration are:
vicious, murderous, would-be tyrant who disrespects the Bill of Rights
I further find the accusation that, since I don't agree with the above bald assertions, I am a "statist, someone who would support the local strongman thug whether a Hitler, a Stalin, a Mao, or a Bush, an enemy of freedom with whom decent people should not associate or tolerate." would be a blood libel were it not as poorly supported and obviously deranged as the rest of his assumed truths.
In parting, I would urge our afflicted brother to seek professional help.

responds with an out of context quotation (see the second to the last paragraph above for the quote in context).
And in response, I got a link to his own journal where he refers to me with eliminationist rhetoric, saying I "blood libeled" him.
It's a good thing I don't attend a church, as he'd probably show up at it with a shotgun.
Heaven forbid he should actually engage... Nope, brave Sir David bravely stayed away...
(and shotguns are so noisy and impersonal!)
