A nice warm weather potent potable.
WARNING: walking is NOT recommended after two or more 8oz servings, and driving is just right out.
Ingredients
Orange Juice Concentrate (1 x 16oz Can)
Red Wine (2 x 350ml, Syrah or Cabernet)*
Brandy (1.5 cups)
Orange Liqueur (0.5 cups)
Ginger Ale (~ 2 litres)
Fresh Fruit, sliced (Optional, peaches or strawberries recommended)
Makes one gallon
Mix the orange juice concentrate, brandy, and orange liqueur in a 4 cup measuring cup. Pour into a one gallon container (plastic water bottles do nicely).
Fresh fruit, if it is to be added, should be added at this point.
Open both bottles of wine and pour into container, then cap and shake briskly.
Add Ginger Ale slowly, being sure to leave a small air gap. Cap, shake, and vent.
Chill or serve over ice.
Deadly Sangria Slushies
As above but freeze the resulting mixture overnight, then allow to sit at room temperature for half an hour before shaking and serving.
