My thoughts....
* the "you're not Catholic" line. at first, I thought he was talking to Eva. then, when I realized he was addressing John, I thought "Calvinist?"
* the Eva & Omar chat -- well, we knew it was going to happen eventually...and they carried it off well. a few of the lines admittedly sounded OOC in their wording -- but both actors' expressions and tones made it successful despite how wooden it could all too easily have been.
* "one-footed". :thumbsup: :clap: so - much - fun!
(and he's so proud of her!)
* so in other words, Mr John "Serial Monogamy" Amsterdam is dallying with Mrs Sara "True Love is a myth" Dillane. this could be fun to watch.
* "I demand satisfaction"...and I said to myself, "of course, after two hundred years, the odds that he's anything but a crack shot is - minute."
* the "in the dark ages" line had me muttering darkly. unless he's using that as a figure of speech, I wonder if he knows what India was achieving while the Dark Ages were going on.
* Eva seems to be remarkably patient with John...almost as though she's letting him try to catch the Doc...before she smacks some sense into him.
* interesting that, unlike in prior eps, it isn't a matter of "the guy they catch first is innocent"...it's more "there's more to this story - there's a second guilty party". this tells me that the scriptwriters are trying to keep from getting bogged down in a single pattern.
* wonder if, fleeing the law, John joins the British Navy.
:idea: (Hornblower or Sharpe crossover?)
