John Connor knew it was just a matter of time. But that doesn't mean he has to like it.
Oh, he knew all about making sacrifices, and volunteering for a mission. But agent Ellison's response to John's mom's suggestion, well, it gave whole new meaning to 'no hesitation'. Then again, mom didn't exactly sound much in the way of impartiality.
Cameron says the two are thumping, but says it's a noun, not a verb or adjective. John doesn't ask where she gets that information, just attributes it to the whole 'how do you think?' 'not like you' discussion they'd had.
Derek's happy that somebody in the house is happy. He says that he's met Ellison, that the guy will be a great service to the Resistance - 'will be' because he doesn't know Ellison from Adam right now. Except, intellectually, that Ellison was part of the Federal team pursuing Derek's team.
John looks again at the announcement:
Ellison-Baum...eyes skimming it, paying no heed to the other wedding announcements on the same page...Guest of honor: John Connor.
"Great," leaning back in the kitchen chair.
