...or should it be "Nieuw Amsterdam" and whatever the Dutch for "spoilers" is? ;)
* I, personally, am a John/Eva shipper.
(not every biological or psychological reaction has to be immediate...same for spiritual or shamanistic (or another word that isn't coming to mind) events)
* for one thing, it saves me from wondering which pairing would be cuter together - John Amsterdam/Dani Reese, or Eva/Crews.
(I believe the word is "snark babies!")
dear Me, just what I don't need right now...Crews and Amsterdam arguing over the meaning of life. (and with those two, it wouldn't be a discussion, it wouldn't be a debate, it would be a fight)
* It's already been pointed out that the lead character seems to have spent a lot of his (thus far observed) life in New York. This doesn't necessarily mean much, as New York is presently (and for well over a century, has been) a very very large place.
refresh my memory - was New Sweden in New York, New Jersey, or Virginia?
* I'm not entirely sure whether the dancing scene was a flashback, or just his latest girlfriend.
* "No, one of my wives." "Plural. How many?" "One at a time." while it's nice that the show recognizes that other cultures do exist, at the time (and still) I find it a rather Methos-like answer.
lets' see...609 girlfriends, an unknown number of wives...four hundred years...
egads!
* "that's years of bad luck" "only seven"
*snerk*
* " sorry about inflation" hehehe.
*...and that's the point at which my DVD recorder decided to throw a hissy fit. :(
