They had just closed another Artifact-related case, and the Warehouse (and Artie) didn't need the three of them back for a few more days, so they were in a public park.

"Got any plans?" Helena asked Pete.

"Think I'll catch a game, maybe try a book Myka's been suggesting for a while."

"'See Spot Run'?" Myka guessed.

"Ha ha. No, I was thinking more like 'Around the world in 80 days'," and he saw the look on H.G.'s face. "Or not. Later," Pete said with a wave and walked off.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Myka asked.

"I believe so," Helena said.

"One hour from now, then."

"I'll see you then," Helena said.

"Count on it," Myka said.

"Aha!" Pete said, coming out of the shrubbery. "I knew it!"

"We were going to be getting together for chess later, if you must know," Myka told him.

H.G. gave him her best cryptically British look.

"Can I watch?" Pete asked.

"You want to watch a chess match?" Myka asked.

"Yup."

"Pete, you fall asleep during -"

"It doesn't always involve bondage," H.G. said.

"And I'm fine with that," Pete said.

Myka sighed. "What am I going to do with the two of you?"
