thank you, Sabaceanbabe, for this meme...
The one who seduced you, screwed you over, broke your heart in a million pieces, and laughed about it:
SeaQuest DSV. Completely squandered the concept of their GELFS, and that's just one problem.
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp:
Enterprise. Foyle's War. The Invisible Man too. And Farscape. And sometimes Highlander.
The mysterious dark one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3 AM at weird coffee houses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized s/he really was fucking crazy:
Rome. I was over the moon, having found a halfway realistic series about an actual - and magicless - historical society...(to fill the hole in my heart left by Highlander)
and then
THEY KILLED NIOBE!
The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor and whom you'd still really like to get with again, although you're relieved s/he doesn't actually live in town:
MacLeod's Daughters. Or the Inspector Lynley Mysteries.
The steady:
No steady lately. Maybe once I finish this round of ficathons. (but they're so funnnn!)
The alluring stranger whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with:
Burn Notice. I tried it, and I thought we had something...but they kept pushing that whole Michael/Fiona angle, despite Michael having more chemistry with Det. Paxton. (and Fi being a smuggler, terrorist, and several other bad things)
The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with, but ultimately you're just good buddies:
Nikita & My Own Worst Enemy & Tremors the Series - gave them each a chance for fic, but while I enjoyed them immensely, nothing ultimately came of them.
And Sarah Shahi's recent series whose name keeps escaping me (sorry)
The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool person except it's never really gone anywhere:
True Blood.
The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at them and thinking, "How the hell did they land all these cool people?"
Wait, so one show all my friends have in common, that I do/don't like? Um...
The one who gave you the best damned summer of your life and against whom you measure all other potential partners:
Highlander and Hercules:the Legendary Journeys/Xena:Warrior Princess.
you ever seen a Hercules crossover with X-Men, Invisible Man, and the Scorpion King? I think I lost my attempt at it. those were the days of madness. :)
The one you recently met at a party and would like to get to know better:
Falling Skies.
The old flame that you wouldn't totally object to hooking up with again for a one night romp if only they'd clean up a bit:
Dollhouse or Invisible Man. Or LIFE.
(in one, s1 had them as an urban myth, then s2 had them investigated by Congress; in the other, they started relying a bit much on conspiracies)
Your hot new flame:
Covert Affairs. And Leverage. And there should be a crossover, dammit.
The one who stole your significant other:
No S.O. here...Leverage and Rizzoli&Isles stole my parents, though.
