tonight's Leverage was cool.
You could almost say, "it's a canon AU, starring Danny Glover."
* hm, so did he tell Parker because she reminds him of the woman he loved, or because she and Hardison are together?
* I like how his younger self had a different accent - one we've never heard from Hardison. which, no doubt, was the point: one more layer of distinctness to emphasize that This Is Someone Else.
* I was a little confused, though - at one point, Eliot says the town is crawling with guys searching for the treasure...and after Nate defeats his ex-colleague and Eliot defeats two of his fellow retrievalers, suddenly its safe to give the art to a guy who hasn't even been discharged from the hospital yet? he's getting out tomorrow, guys; wait a bit.
* I was kinda hoping it would have been WW2!Eliot who had the gun and came to save the young couple from the three-man mob. "I said its not policy to give you a medal. Never said anything about saving your life," and under his breath, "in return."
all in all, a fun episode.
