while this is true, I suspect it's more of a hurdle than a wall - folks like Jai *do* exist (the kid of an op and an agent) I think Liza might be able to get past it (she's using him as much as he's using her if not more) but I think Auggie's got more...crap I just lost the word I wanted. It's hurting Auggie more than it's hurting Liza I think. I'm not entirely sure she's really that committed to their relationship per se. I think she sees Auggie as a means to the end and he might not see her just that way. If that makes sense? He kinda feels actually guilty about using her.
I suspect Liza's aware at least of the possibility that Auggie was running something - in my personal canon, that's why she brought up the Albion Group, to see how he handled it. Liza's aware that since Auggie works for the CIA (since she obviously knows that) she can't trust everything he tells her. Whether or not she knows he's running something...that I don't know.
(and part of me wonders if the photos of Auggie and Liza were taken by Jai or Ben) Jai I think. Also they were from episode 7 in case you didn't catch that...I have almost the same screen cap. LOL
well, if nothing else, she smiles more around Auggie than around Jai (though not by much) :) Auggie does better as the charming boy next door than Jai does. Jai is way too used to having girls fall at his feet because of who he is. 'I'm the golden boy of the CIA and therefore you should worship me' and so he expects all the girls to fall for his charm--which isn't that charming. Auggie on the other hand has actually worked at the charm and cultivated it and has a sense of humor in addition to the charm. And is bashful/adorable. (And the wounded hero doesn't hurt).
>I think Liza might be able to get past it (she's using him as much as he's using her if not more) but I think Auggie's got more...crap I just lost the word I wanted. entanglements? past history? I can't think of the word either, but I think I know what neighborhood it lives in.
>It's hurting Auggie more than it's hurting Liza I think. I'm not entirely sure she's really that committed to their relationship per se. I think she sees Auggie as a means to the end and he might not see her just that way. If that makes sense? He kinda feels actually guilty about using her. I see that, yeah.
now, i am rubbish at reading peoples' faces and voices 9 times out of 10, but I felt she was honest when they said "I'm not your source?" "You're a source of happiness."
(if she were purely means-to-an-end, she wouldn't have been with Auggie for more than two episodes if he weren't a source of information)
>>Liza's aware that since Auggie works for the CIA (since she obviously knows that) she can't trust everything he tells her. Whether or not she knows he's running something...that I don't know. the suspicion might be there always (up to now, at least), but no certainty.
though I think she's certainly trusted him more than she's trusted Arthur.
>Jai I think. Also they were from episode 7 in case you didn't catch that.. we're on ep 8 already? :O
>.I have almost the same screen cap. LOL you have good taste.
>Auggie does better as the charming boy next door than Jai does. Jai is way too used to having girls fall at his feet because of who he is. 'I'm the golden boy of the CIA and therefore you should worship me' and so he expects all the girls to fall for his charm--which isn't that charming. someone once told me that the air of the exotic - more in physical looks than clothing - also helps. not sure if they were BSing me.
> Auggie on the other hand has actually worked at the charm and cultivated it and has a sense of humor in addition to the charm. And is bashful/adorable. (And the wounded hero doesn't hurt). blindness counts as exotic, I think. ;)
entanglements? past history? I can't think of the word either, but I think I know what neighborhood it lives in. Yeah something like that. It works anyway.
I see that, yeah. Auggie feels guilty, but I just don't think Liza does. People like her are part of the reason I stopped working in the journalism field.
now, i am rubbish at reading peoples' faces and voices 9 times out of 10, but I felt she was honest when they said "I'm not your source?" "You're a source of happiness." It's called acting...and she's very good at it. If I'm following your correctly.
(if she were purely means-to-an-end, she wouldn't have been with Auggie for more than two episodes if he weren't a source of information) Auggie is a means to the end for her--I don't think she's completely a means to the end for him. He's using her yes, but he can't seem to help getting involved with people (I point to Tash as an example). And he's still running his game...so he's gonna stick with it until he's done. (Can't wait to see how he gets out of it) but if you watch him when she can't see his face--he's often got a resigned or upset look on his face. He doesn't like what he's doing.
Liza's aware that since Auggie works for the CIA (since she obviously knows that) she can't trust everything he tells her. Whether or not she knows he's running something...that I don't know. the suspicion might be there always (up to now, at least), but no certainty. Yes, but she's a hell of a lot more suspicious of him now. Which may or may not be what Arthur wanted.
we're on ep 8 already? :O This week's episode was #9. Next week is 10. :-) but at the same time :-(
you have good taste. Why thank you :-)
someone once told me that the air of the exotic - more in physical looks than clothing - also helps. not sure if they were BSing me. If that's what is attractive to a person...then yes it is. If not then no.
Auggie on the other hand has actually worked at the charm and cultivated it and has a sense of humor in addition to the charm. And is bashful/adorable. (And the wounded hero doesn't hurt). blindness counts as exotic, I think. ;) Yeah I guess the blindness could count as exotic, but he's also got the wounded hero going for him. Which Jai does not. The hat thing at the end of this last episode with Jai...that was adorable. :-)
i forget - have I mentioned that I enjoy talking with you? you've got a good brain, and you're good people.
>>I see that, yeah. >Auggie feels guilty, but I just don't think Liza does. People like her are part of the reason I stopped working in the journalism field. sorry to hear that.
>>now, i am rubbish at reading peoples' faces and voices 9 times out of 10, but I felt she was honest when they said "I'm not your source?" "You're a source of happiness." >It's called acting...and she's very good at it. If I'm following your correctly. technically, they're both acting. er, both characters are acting, I mean.
>Auggie is a means to the end for her--I don't think she's completely a means to the end for him. He's using her yes, but he can't seem to help getting involved with people (I point to Tash as an example). And he's still running his game...so he's gonna stick with it until he's done. (Can't wait to see how he gets out of it) my bet is that Liza turns out to be Susan Foreman...and the leak is an earlier regeneration of hers. (which is why nobody can find evidence of who's doing the leaking)
> but if you watch him when she can't see his face--he's often got a resigned or upset look on his face. in the aftermath of Tash, certainly; he wouldn't be Auggie if, after Tash, he wasn't affected/effected. I'd have to re-watch the other eps to see if that doesn't hold true. (until I find otherwise, though, I agree with you)
Liza, though, can't afford to look upset or resigned - because Auggie would hear the difference. (its something I learned on Lie To Me - that one's facial expression colors how our speech sounds)
> He doesn't like what he's doing. understandable.
>Yes, but she's a hell of a lot more suspicious of him now. Which may or may not be what Arthur wanted. grrr at Arthur.
>>you have good taste. >Why thank you you're very welcome.
methinks we're each admiring a different part of the screenshot, but the same image is the same image :D
>This week's episode was #9. Next week is 10. :-) but at the same time agreeing completely.
though hopefully this is just the mid-season finale, not the season finale.
>>someone once told me that the air of the exotic - more in physical looks than clothing - also helps. not sure if they were BSing me. >If that's what is attractive to a person...then yes it is. yes, that's what I meant - the attractiveness. (gah & grr at me...i read about pro-drop languages, and now I keep forgetting/omitting words from my sentances; sorry)

if Arthur finds out that Jai's in contact with Ben, all bets are off. :)
i forget - have I mentioned that I enjoy talking with you? you've got a good brain, and you're good people. aw thank you.
sorry to hear that. Thank you. I'm not sorry I left. I don't have the mentality to be cut throat like is needed.
Liza, though, can't afford to look upset or resigned - because Auggie would hear the difference. (its something I learned on Lie To Me - that one's facial expression colors how our speech sounds) There is that and Auggie seems to be able to read people surprisingly well considering he can't see them.
grrr at Arthur. Yes, I'd like to punt him into the Potomac.
methinks we're each admiring a different part of the screenshot, but the same image is the same image :D haha more than likely. I'm glad she's working although I was sorry to see Angell die on CSI NY.
agreeing completely. though hopefully this is just the mid-season finale, not the season finale. Yes but USA seems to have the same issue TNT has which means they say season finale even if its the break. and at least we get 2 hours this coming week, not just 1!
(gah & grr at me...i read about pro-drop languages, and now I keep forgetting/omitting words from my sentances; sorry) i think i'm following you okay though.
but he's also got the wounded hero going for him. Which Jai does not. yet. oh you think jai's gonna behurt then?
if Arthur finds out that Jai's in contact with Ben, all bets are off. :) arthur will kick jai's ass if he finds out jai is ben's contact...whether jai is the golden boy or not. i personally think ben is running an op on everyone though. but i guess we'll see. here's hoping it doesn't get dragged on through a cliff-hanger though.
>>>but he's also got the wounded hero going for him. Which Jai does not. >>yet. >oh you think jai's gonna behurt then? I think that, even if Jai manages to avoid getting on the shit lists of Annie, Ben, Arthur, Auggie, Joan, or Liza, I still think that his character arc is going to deflate his ego (or get him hurt) by the time the credits roll on the series 1 finale.

I think that, even if Jai manages to avoid getting on the shit lists of Annie, Ben, Arthur, Auggie, Joan, or Liza, I still think that his character arc is going to deflate his ego (or get him hurt) by the time the credits roll on the series 1 finale.
so my icon is advice for both Annie and Jai. :)

Haha awesome advice for them. And Auggie had it right the one episode...they are the golden two of the CIA at the moment...this can only end badly.
