tonight's DOLLHOUSE:
when I was watching Numb3rs, I flicked momentarily over to Dollhouse (as I was recording the later)...and I thought I saw - for two seconds - Adele DeWitt lying in the arms of Victor. 1.3 of those seconds was spent in stunned shock, my mind refusing to recognize who it was. the remaining 0.7 seconds was spent pleased.
(thoughts on this pairing in the second cut in this post)
* MURPHY!! *is pleased to see you again*
* I feel sorry for that Mrs. Sato when she wakes up. can you imagine what would be going through her mind?
* when Victor charged at Adele, my first thought was "he's glitching, like they warned"
* poor Paul. that message ended, and he had to pretend all was right with the world; suddenly the room had two actors in it - and one doesn't know she's acting.
* don't over-think it, Topher - Echo was voicing what she'd just seen...there's no complex logic chain here.
* when they said "we know who the Doll is," my first thought was "oh please, not Ivy!, can't she get a character who isn't undercover or covert for once?" that's not too much to ask - is it?
* I can't help but wonder if Dominic was an Active, possibly a Sleeper who was, once in the NSA, sent undercover into the Dollhouse.
* Dominic's statment to Echo - that she too would be wiping people one day - only reinforces my idea that Dolls can be retired without being sent into the Attic...given a job, and left to run.
* Boyd? are you in on it too?
* to be honest, I half expected Echo to say "No" when asked that last question by her new handler.
when I watched the whole episode later tonight, my thoughts about the pair of them were:
* is it a love triangle when the Active loves Adele and the Doll loves Sierra?
* if Adele's pregnant, that'll add a whole new layer to the Nature-vs-Nurture debate.
* they both so deserve to be happy.
