Meta: character comparison (Helen and Crews)
SPOILERS FOR Life and Primeval
in both series, the main character is isolated for a number of years (at least 8, in Helen's case)
Crews survived by reading a book on Zen and adopting that as his strategy for life. we're not sure what book Helen read, if any.
in both cases, we don't know for certain what either person was like before their time away -- we have no onscreen scenes set before their arrest/disappearance...we have only the testimony of other people, testimony taken years after the fact.
