You've Become What I Hate, Sold Yourself For A Bit Of Fame: Epilogue

Nov 05, 2012 19:53

Summary: Alex has just moved for the last of many times to Dulaney High school. He has decided that this is the year and school that he will try and become "popular" but if that happened would it be a bad thing? And will finding a new friend, that may think of him as more, also affect it?...
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone, sadly. Title goes to Bite My Tongue-You Me At Six, Cut goes to All My Heart-Sleeping With Sirens

Epilogue

"UGH! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I'VE SPENT NINE YEARS WITH YOU! YOU'RE SO...UGLY!" Jack yelled, his words roaring through him and his boyfriend's home.

"ME?! HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN YOURSELF?! YOU LOOK LIKE A FUCKING MEERCAT!" The blonde replied, voice matching the volume of Jack's.

The Lebanese boy looked at Alex with a look saying something along the lines of 'Really?' His voice gave off the same tone when he said, "A meercat?"

The blonde just shrugged. Jack plopped down on the couch, his body slumping. Alex followed suit and leaned his head back against the wall sighing.

Jack spoke again, "I guess Hayley and Josh were right. We really can't fight with each other anymore." He hit his fist onto his thighs, frustrated, "What is wrong with us?"

Alex, sat next to him, shrugged again, "I don't know. I don't think I can fight with you anymore because I almost lost you once and there's nothing you could do to make me not love you." He said matter-of-factly.

Jack looked over at him, "Awwww, Lexxyy!" He said cutely, and just when the blonde was going to move over to kiss him, the Lebanese boy said, "See! That's exactly the problem!"

Alex huffed, "Come on, Jacky. Leave it alone. Why is it such a big deal anyway?" He asked with a pout.

The other boy flopped his arms in front of himself wildly. "Because I wanna have hot make up sex with you!"

The blonde raised an eyebrow, "Our sex isn't 'hot' enough?" He said, crossing his arms as if Jack had said that he was inadequate.

The Lebanese boy rolled his eyes waving Alex off dismissively, "Yes, yes, you're very sexy, but, Lex. Make up seeeeex."

This time Alex was the one rolling his eyes at Jack's foolishness. He stood up and pulled his boyfriend up with him. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, he cried, "Why would you say something that inconsiderate, you pig! I hate you!" He then reached across the short distance between them and slapped Jack across the face, the force of the contact leaving a vague hand shape on the Lebanese boy's face.

Jack's eyes widened in total surprise, "I-I-what?!" Alex then grabbed him by his hair and pulled him towards the bedroom, smirking evilly all the while. Jack's shocked expression melted away as he realised what was going on. He was finally getting his make up sex, of sorts, and he was very excited, to say the least.

The Next Day

"So I'd appreciate it if you two stayed out of our sex lives from now on, yeah?" Alex said sternly as he leaned across his kitchen counter.

The people he was speaking to looked at each other bemused. Then the red head shrugged and said, "Whatever, Alex. We were just saying that make up sex was awesome. It's not out fault that you guys are weirdos that never fight."

Her husband looked over at her and smiled, "Yeah, Alex, what Hayley said." The blonde was about to reply when the other English boy cut him off, "So, you doing anything special for tonight? I mean, ten years since you got together, that's pretty big."

Alex hummed, "I have something in mind, yeah." He then started to tell the other couple of around ten years his plan for the night. He chuckled at finding that, when he was done, Josh was the one almost in tears, rather than Hayley, the only actual female in the room.

"Josh, you good? I don't need you crying in my kitchen. Hayley, control your husband, woman!" Josh's wife rolled her eyes at Alex and kissed the blue-eyed boy on the cheek before speaking, "I think that's a brilliant idea, Alex. Jack'll love it."

The blonde smiled at Hayley's reaction, and even Josh's less-than-manly reaction before saying softly, "Mmm, my Jack's a regular old softie."

"You got a hold of them though? I mean, do they even remember you?" Josh asked, suddenly sounding a little wary.

Alex smiled and nodded, "Yup. It's all sorted."

Hayley smiled, "Well have a nice time tonight, although I'm sure you will."

That Night

Jack laughed, the sound of his laughter bubbling away into the brisk night air. "Lex, where are we going!?"

Alex smiled and shushed him, "I have to give you your present now!"

At the mention of a present, Jack stopped asking questions and got into the car. A short while later the two pulled into a venue. The Lebanese boy couldn't contain his smile as he recognised the place and the memories flooded back to him. He looked at the lack of a long line of people confused, and then over at his love, waiting for him to take the lead.

The blonde did so, getting out of the car and going around to Jack's side, opening the door and taking his hand. Jack followed, patting the pocket of his leather jacket quickly to reassure himself.

Soon they got inside the venue and Jack was surprised to find that the vast empty space that usually held hundreds of people now only had a small table bedecked with everything one would expect, nice table cloth and silverware, wine, nice food. There were candles at various levels around the table, and it was dark except for the little flames. It left the table in it's own little bubble.

The blonde gestured with his head, a smile gracing his features as he made his way to the little set up. Jack followed, a large smile plastered to his face as well.

The two ate their meal speaking about the things people generally speak about when as in love as they were. Alex's Uncle Max randomly came to meet them, dropping off the next course of the meal. He was dressed like a waiter, bowtie and all, and he kept grumbling about it subtly when he spoke to the pair. The blonde just insulted him playfully until he walked away. When they had just been brought desert, Alex asked Jack if he'd like some music.

The Lebanese boy nodded, expecting a stereo or the sound system of the venue to start playing some cheesy cliché song when Alex yelled for someone to 'Come on out!'.

Jack was shocked as none other than his favourite band of the last ten or so years walked onstage. He figured he should have expected something like that but it was still exciting. After an amazing acoustic set, Jack knew that he was very lucky to have Alex as his own.

He was about to open his mouth to give the blonde his present when the other boy stood up, "Thanks guys." He said to the band retreating off the stage. "Okay, Jack. Now that we've seen Blink in this same venue ten years to the day since we last saw them here, I wanna do something else that happened ten years ago here."

He then got up and walked up to the stage. He jumped up to the raised platform and picked up the acoustic guitar that had been left there. He played a few opening chords and then launched into the song that he'd written and then he'd played in the same venue, ten years ago for the very same boy standing where he'd stood all that time ago.

When he was finished, Jack was almost in tears. He'd only heard that song a minimal number of times throughout their time together, he could count the times on one hand, because Alex claimed it was too special to be thrown about and played at random. And whenever he did play it, it was only when it was just the two of them. Alex didn't want anyone else to hear it. It was Jack's song.

The blonde looked the Lebanese boy straight in the eyes when he was done singing, "Jack Bassam Barakat. I just hope that you realise just how much I love you. Every minute, every second that I spend with you just seems unreal. Sometimes I still think back to how stupid I was all that time ago. Being a jerk to you, being with some random loser, not being intelligent enough to realise that I wanted to be with you. I'm just...so so lucky to have you. It scares me sometimes because I think that you'll realise it and leave me for someone more deserving. So, thanks for being so amazing. And thanks for giving me the chance to even try and attempt to show you how strongly I feel for you. I love you, Jacky."

The other boy still standing at a slightly lower altitude than the blonde got up onto the stage. His breath caught as he put hand in his pocket. He still had tears in his eyes and he swallowed before speaking.

"Alexander William Gaskarth. Don't you dare say things like that. You're perfect in every way. These last ten years with you have been wonderful. I honestly wouldn't change a thing. At all. You know, I rarely ever think back to that time? It's not worth it. That was a mistake, one that I've forgiven you for long ago. I never ever want you to feel like I'm going to leave you because you couldn't get rid of me if you tried. Even if you told me tomorrow that you hated me, I'd still follow you around like a puppy. I love you, Alexander. I want to spend every moment that I have left with you."

The tall lanky boy got down again to a lower altitude than Alex, this time because he had shifted to one knee. Now both Jack and Alex had tears in their eyes and the Lebanese boy swallowed again before taking his hand out of his pocket and speaking. His hand was gripping a little black velvet box.

"Alexander William Gaskarth. The love of my life, now and forever. Will you do me the immense honour of marrying me?"

The English boy smiled, the tears now overflowing. He couldn't speak because he was so happy. All he could do was throw himself off of the stool he was sitting on into Jack's arms and nod like his live depended on it.

A/N: I'm not sure how good this is, and I think it's pretty rushed but I didn't really have an idea for an Epilogue, oops. I kinda just started writing and this was the product. I don't know, I think it's pretty cute. It's not supposed to really make much sense, it's just an Epilogue.

I just wanted to say again that all of your comments are honestly so amazing. Especially on the last chapter. You people are the greatest people in the world and the fact that you care so much for my writing, or care at all, is just so brilliant, even if it is very surprising to me.

I'd give you all blow jobs because you all deserve them, buuut I'm pretty sure that you're all lacking the correct genitals, and I'm probably shit at giving blow jobs anyway, so...yeah. You'll have to get by with my mediocre writing for now! (That was weird, I know. Just go with it. It's late and I'm tired)

Anyway, thanks again you beautiful, lovely people! :D
