First things first: a poll.
I'm trying to brainstorm scary animals. I mean flashy-scary, not subtle-scary. I want teeth and claws. Bees and spiders do not work. I'm talking about panthers and wolves and things like that. So, aside from panthers and wolves, what other scary animals are out there?
DAMN IT. I have tied my brain in a knot. I need to figure out how to make a character scary without him actually being dangerous. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do? Damn near impossible. And until I figure it out, I'm pretty much stuck. I've had some really exciting ideas for things elsewhere in the story, but I can't plan the entire ending until I figure out how to do this. I've been working on it for days, and I'm getting very frustrated.
