Chuck had been thankful for the chance to set things right with his father, he really had been. A huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders, and he probably should have been happy for once. He felt like he deserved some of that. But his father's presence brought on more issues, and as much as he wished he could brush off what his father said about his mother as a lie, he knew what he said was true. His mother was alive somewhere, living her life, and not caring about Chuck at all.

He had so many questions, and so many things to say to her, and he was dying to know what she was doing now. Another part of him was angry and felt that she didn't deserve to know him. He wanted her to know that she doesn't deserve to know him, because that's just the kind of bitchiness he needed to execute right now. But what if he went to the trouble and she didn't care? He didn't think he could take that. Chuck knew he could find her if he wanted. He had the power and money to find anyone. He was just afraid of what he'd find if he tried.

He also knew that he was supposed to be moving to the cabins today but he really didn't have it in him to hang out with a bunch of people right now. He picked up his phone and called Dan to let him know he wasn't going to make radio tonight, and then debated getting a hotel room for a little while.
