as upset as i was sunday when i wrote my last entry about my aunt, it doesn't even compare to the last two days. the viewing and the funeral made it all real to me. I've lost all of my grandparents, and as hard as that was, it doesn't even compare to the loss i'm feeling right now. aunt di wasn't just an aunt, she was my best friend all throyghout ( Read more... )

the lion king was my favorite movie as a kid, too.
anyway, cheer up buttercup. it's difficult--i can't say i've ever lost someone that close to me, but regardless--i know it's difficult. you'll get through it though.. everything certainly is going to be all right. ♥

Hey man, I know you wrote this a month ago, but I just wanted to say I was praying for you. Also you actually inspired me. I want to be the best uncle I can for my neices and nephews, and be even more involved with them. My Aunts and Uncles were all up in NY and New England, where my parents are from, so I never really knew them well, and I never realized the kind of relationship you could have. Your relationship with your Aunt was really special and something beautiful. So I don't know if that means anything but I thought I'd share that.
