im a natural progression of the species. evolution is a part of nature and nature kills, simple...right?
the seventh volume contains all of the scenes from our favorite serial killer from the episode "parasite"

SEASON ONE, EPISODE EIGHTEEN
"parasite"

i absolutely love sylar in this episode, and specially zachary's performance which is so powerful. the guy can't go wrong, i swear. he is not only talented, but very committed. notice when he pressed his forehead on the gun, he really pressed it. you can see a mark on his forehead as a result of it. it is very interesting to me, that sylar is not your untouchable killer like in many shows and movies. here, he gets caught by simple and ordinary mohinder suresh. it just makes him more believable in my mind.

haha, i love the part where sylar calls isaac mendez and he says "i'll get him later". one episode later...he does

his whole speech about redemption and how he manages to distract mohinder to be able to escape, phenomenal and so unexpected. this does not mean that he does not believe this somewhere deep down, that he does deserve some kind of redemption, but we honestly wont see this until the episode "the hard part" where sylar visits his mother (or so we thought at that point). a lot of people are annoyed by the fact that this season the writers came up with "the hunger" and i agree somewhat about that, but as i watched the first season i have indeed noticed a few things that might state as a reference to this hunger. not only in episode two from the first season "don't look back" where sylar leaves a message to suresh saying "the hunger, i can't control it". but in this episode as well. when he screams "give me the damn list, so i can sink my teeth in". of course, at the time we had no idea what he did with the brains and some people took this literally thinking that he ate them which i always thought it was a stupid idea. so maybe he was referring to this innate hunger he had for more power and knowledge.

sylar hitting mohinder where it hurt the most, his relationship with his late father. after all, mohinder lived as an outsider in chandra's life, while sylar gave chandra purpose. add that to the fact that chandra trusted sylarmore than him, his own son. sylar knew about shanti because chandra told him about her, he didn't have to find that out on his own through dreams and whatnot

i think mohinder's face when he stopped the bullet says it all. the fact that he never actually saw sylar use his telekinetic abilities so he had no idea what to expect. the only power mohinder has seen sylar use is the one he stole from zane taylor, so you can imagine his shock when he stopped the bullet in mid air. i mean, when you see someone do that, you know you are in a shitload of trouble. mohinder looked paralyze as sylar approached him, either from fear or from sylar's ability...but i think it's a bit of both.

peter getting attacked, omg! i mean, i knew he would heal but it was still so surprising when it happened. and that last shot was just epic, it really captured the greatness of the entire episode. peter's hair was at that point a character of its own, so this shot was very symbolic.
