Reccer's notes: In case you weren't aware, heard_the_owl has this deliciously smoky voice that suits both pornographic and angsty works exceptionally well; as this particular series is both pornographic and angsty by turns, there really couldn't be a better reader for it. Her performance is one I won't soon forget.
The story begins sometime following the events of S5E15 "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" with a classic case of a hunt gone horribly wrong. But it doesn't stop there. The results of that fateful encounter are both steamy and tragic against the backdrop of the apocalypse and the horrors that come after. The series-regrettably-ends with the events of S6E20 "The Man Who Would Be King" and the author has shown no interest in continuing further. You should not let this fact detour you. The Climbing Walls 'Verse is one of the most well-known works amongst Castiel/Sam fans and heard_the_owl's reading brings it to life in a most addictive way.
