I don't think I'd notice it, either, really; you have the crazy-color lamp right in front of it and it's hanging sideways, so it does look a lot like a... curtain. I'm kind of curious as to what you would have to do before either of them said "Hm. Is our daughter the gay?"
For a moment I struggled with the idea of rainbow glassware, but I have since decided that it would be the coolest thing ever. As long as it's not plastic, because that's just tacky.
But it's a flag that's been appropriated as a curtain! Have they never seen parades on TV???
I have seriously tried all I can think of that wouldn't be obscene!! Next summer, we may have to snog in front of them, because I just don't want to bother with the suspense after next year. D:
Bloody hell, surely they MUST know. Either they're just chosing to ignore it and not talk about it because it makes them uncomfortable, or they're just completely blind ;)
I really actually do hope they know. Otherwise, I may lose respect for their mental capabilities.
Do YOUR parents know you're bisexual? I'm trying to get an idea of how many people I know are out to their families and stuff. I sort of feel like I'm behind, but it just never seems like a good time to bring it up. I'm more of the 'giant unsubtle hint' kind of person. ;D
"The next step is to tattoo '50% DYKE' on my forehead. And my parents HATE tattoos." LOL At least then they'll notice it"!
Parents can be so funny - I had the Kiss-Poster by Tanya Chalkin in my room once. My mom just grinned and my dad said - without having seen the whole picture - "You should hang it on the ceiling" LOL. But I don't think they got it.
Apparently everything else isn't enough warning! Shining neon signs above my bed wouldn't tip them off. DX
Do you identify as bisexual? I'm not sure I've ever seen that poster. I know I've pretty much painted a picture in words for my parents but they just let it pass on by.
I'm afraid to tell them, though! I don't want to ruin their obliviousness if they really DON'T KNOW. I'm fine with it if I know they have some idea/are okay with it, but I just don't know.
I think that if you told them and they thought about it, they'd wonder why they missed all the signs. If they did notice the flag, they probably figured you just like it and/or you love gay folk (shock!). Parents seems to think their kids can't be queer. Ever.

Maybe they really are just that oblivious, not in denial, but oblivious, and you'll just have to tell them?

I should hope they'd realize that all signs point to 'rainbow.'
