brief update from the desk of Jess.

Nov 04, 2006 20:31

Ultrasounds at the asscrack of dawn on an *extremely* cold morning = t3h sux0rz.

Having a rash on my knee from too many ionic medicine patches = 4l50 t3h sux0rz.

Shopping for party supplies at Target with the money retrieved from returning an ink cartridge your dumb ass bought even though it went to a printer you haven't used in 2 years = great fun!

Getting meaningless kanji-decorated 'Asian fusion' coin jewelry for $0.63 = amusing. (i'm actually curious about what the symbols mean - maybe it says 'buffalo the strawberry are to you fart sunshine creativistic parka.')

Havin' a p4rty of about 6 people and watching Rocky Horror Picture Show = for the win. IT'S JUST A JUMP TO THE LEFT.

Playing Life with Kit and Dessy after half the p4rty left and trying to keep Lard from eating the little people and plastic cars = god, our cats are fucking DUMB.

Watching The Shining all the way through and clinging to Dessy whenever something remotely stupid happened. It stopped being scary in my head and became stupid because I hate Stephen King and Jack Nicholson is the creepiest goddamn bastard ever = SCARY SHIT. GOD.

What else... um, so much for brief update. That format is getting old. Kit and Dessy crashed in the basement because it was 4 AM by the time the movie ended, and I tidied up and went online for a bit before crashing as well. Everyone got up before noon, weirdly, and we eventually made our way downtown, even though we had very little money. It's always fun shopping without money! Kit tried on a lot of great hats, we visited Andrea, I bought a magazine with the Scissor Sisters on the cover and the first IAMX album (how do you write it? I AM X? IamX? iAmX??) because you can't take me anywhere with music-related things in it without me getting stupid, and Smeg and Dessy steered us to Subway for foodz. Then we took everyone home.

Smeg and I WERE going to go see Arsenic & Old Lace but we were tired, she was sick of driving, and we'd have to have gone home to get money, then driven all the way to south 72nd street and I hadn't showered since yesterday and things just didn't work out. We saw a police car speeding hardcore down Sorenson Parkway and I wanted to write down the license plate number after they changed lanes without using a turn signal. None of their flashy lights or sirens were on, either! It was really fucked up. The speed limit was 40 and they were pushing 60 or something, because they just kept going faster until we lost them in the mess of curves. WTF? Stupid policemen. I expect them to follow traffic regulations to the LETTER.

Drew made fantastic vegan pumpkin muffinz and I made a pumpkin pie that's okay but not overwhelmingly amazing, though it's a lot better after it's chilled. Tiffy wore her adorable flapper dress again and it was cute. We had a good time even though everyone kept getting tired, then getting a second wind, then getting tired, etc. ad infinitum. I meant to have more movies at hand, but since we only watched 2 over the whole evening, it was okay. We talked a lot and that was good fun.

Now tha I have showered, I ... don't know what I'll do. Eat dinner, maybe. I've had so much random crap food today that my guts will want to incite rebellion. Now we get to take down our Halloween decorations and put up CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. OOOH, DECEMBER!! THE BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR!!!!11
