1) Using your current first initial, choose a different name for yourself:
Jasmine. It's kind of too sexy for me, though.
2) In your opinion, why do people suck?
They lack honesty and respect for other people's feelings/property/health.
3) If you had your own state, what would you put on your new quarter?
A discoball. Duh.
4) What's the oldest article of clothing you own?
Maybe those 2 battered old Mickey Mouse sweatshirts that are starting to be a bit small on me because of my flab. The sleeves are tearing up, too! Wow. I've had them since middle school.
5) What piece of furniture have you replaced the most?
Bookshelf, I suppose. Or desk. I've only ever had 2 or 3 bookshelves and 2 desks - but I actually bought a new desk specifically for this room. The bookshelves I've had are just some of our multitude of bookshelves that drift around the house, being emptied and refilled when someone gets bored of the one they've got. I really should get one of the giant motherfuckers, but this little one is so cute!
Come to think of it, I probably change my CD 'furniture' most. I'm always getting new shelves or containers and retiring old ones or refilling them.
6) What is the best part of your favorite book?
Let's pretend it's Good Omens, and... ... let's belatedly realize that my copy is with Dessy right now! Umm... The bread essay in The Ground Beneath Her Feet is awesome. So is the story of Vina Apsara's family's massacre.
7) If you were writing out your will, who would you give your music and/or book collection to?
Books: Smeg. Music: Chesh. DVDs: Dessy.
8) If you could only debate two topics the rest of your life, what would they be?
... That would get SO OLD. I feel like I'll spend my life debating The Gay/same-sex marriage. And ... protecting the environment? It's important to me, but I admit I've never gone and done one of those joyful cleany-up things. I just try not to litter and try to clean up after other people.
9) What is broken that you have that you wish was fixed?
The warped lower drawers of my dresser and the weak, particle-board sides of my bed's frame.
10) Story behind your username?
There isn't one. It's just some words that don't actually describe me at all.
11) Current favorite article of clothing?
The green and brown tunics with sequinned sashes I got for Xmas, and the green/brown/beige/black striped knit scarf that matches them. <3
12) Line from the last thing you wrote for someone?
FOR someone... I'm not sure I have anything. I've been lax with letter-writing, but I kind of wrote this poem based on my relationship. Not BASED, really. Just suggested by. Or whatever.
I want to fly over the Pacific with you tonight
just to say we've gone
even if we don't make it
it'll be worth the trip.

Well, I just printed out a poem I wrote last night, called "Through Glass:" The sun slowly drifting/My son slowly drifting/From my arms.

Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain and a Dresden Dolls DVD.
