For debate we have to do this Units Of Argument assignment by Feb. 6th. The topics we can choose from are:
1) adoption (I have no idea what about it)
2) poverty and homelessness
3) animal rights
I'm not sure what to do. Probably poverty. My parents keep bitching about and putting down illegal Mexican immigrants and they always sound kind of racist and mean when they do it. I don't understand. Dad used Veronica (this Russian lady he used to work with, whose name I keep forgetting! Thanks, Smeg) as an example of why he hates Mexicans coming into our country - she's worked hard and learned English and that's harder to learn when you speak Russian and not Spanish and she waited forever to get here and et cetera, but ... I don't know. I just see both sides of the issue and I figure if Mexico is so bad that they're risking their lives to cross our borders, we should do more to help them.
Smeg and I have spent the past several evenings putting a few hours' work into Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within. It's fucking HARD. Terrence (our name for the Prince) is manlier this time around, but so are the zombies. Stupid bitches. And you have to fight off exploding wolves all the damn time. Exploding WOLVES. What the hell, Nintendo. Not that that's any weirder than exploding dinosaurs and turtles and all. There's a lot of detonation in video games.
