Arsenal - Aston Villa is a special game due to certain affections of the British royal family: as far as i know, Queen Elizabeth (and her grandson Prince Henry) both support Arsenal while Prince William roots for Aston Villa. this circumstance alone is enough to make the game intriguing, and the same number of points of the clubs before the game made me almost anticipate it :)
However, my disappointment was exorbitant - FOR THE WHOLE FIRST HALF I WAS JUST YAWNING, i was dying of boredom and i don't think i had ever felt the same while watching football in my whole life, honestly.
The only thing that kept me there was the thought that Arshavin is there and might score.
but he didn't. in fact, i sometimes doubted if he was there, i didn't notice him sometimes (nor most players)
the man who changed the game, its rhythm, its result, its impression and the only one who could woke me up was of course the hero Fabregas.
Cesc was the Santa, appearing for quite a short time (i hope he'll be alright soon, i can't imagine how Arsenal can play without him) and making 2 amazingly beautiful Christmas presents of goals
and Arsenal became the Arsenal, and Arshavin became the Arshavin, and i wan't sleeping anymore, and i was perfectly happy.
3:0!!
The royal derby ended up with the victory of Her Majesty ;)
