years ago, when i was in high school, in our English class we woudl often hear the saying (by i-can't-remember-whom) that when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life
i considered it somewhat bad taste to quote this, because it's so trite and banal,
but now i'm periphrasing the sticky phrase into what i believe is true:
When a man is tired of Dresden, he is tired of beauty
