I just watched The Night of the Hunter for the first time, and mostly really liked it. I knew Undertow took a lot from it, but, wow, it's just short of a genuine remake. Although I should mention that Undertow is funnier. The middle 30 minutes of Hunter are the best, and scariest. I read on the IMDB that the director didn't direct the children
