Inspired by Amy, I went on my first run in... way too many months. Probably close to 8 or 9 months. I did a walk 5 min, run 10 min (repeat) for a solid hour. Not too bad for first getting back into running. But now I'm hacking up a lung and am suffering from the dreaded exercise induced headache, which I usually get when I start exercising after a long while of not exercising. Physiologically, I know this headache is from the spike in blood pressure for a prolonged period of time while exercising. Still not fun, though.
I worked 60 hours this last week. Compared to a lot of people I know, 60 hours is their norm, but for me it isn't and I am exhausted. It's amazing how exhausting my profession can be. Mostly from the constant socialization with 100 different people a day. So much drama to deal with in a single day. Couple that with constant walking, constant lifting, constant anxiety about people passing out or not breathing. Phew!
I think I need a nap.
