Mother is having a fit. Apparently, the best way to make sure I'm not killed due to lack of supervision is to ship me off to France where I have less supervision.

I'm not complaining. It took me four hours to convince her Cardiff with my cousins one who may or may not be a Death Eater or just sympathetic to whatever bloody cause they have is more ( Read more... )

Well, you do remember what I said about France...

You say that like this wasn't a call for the best spots you can think of.

Or an open invitation.

Well, in that case, I am looking for a change of scenery.

In that case, turn up whenever. I'm sure I'll still be sitting here staring at the weird rugs of the living room.

Tonight? I've been sober for far too long.

I was thinking the same thing. No time like the present.

Daphne wasted no time after receiving Riah's owl. She was feeling so trapped, unable to visit Terry. The idea of it was driving her mad. Nothing a little alcohol couldn't fix.

It was already getting dark when she arrived which was perfect. This way they wouldn't have to linger long or make awkward conversaion. It didn't seem like Riah was the type to talk about his feelings which was exactly what she needed.

"Riah?" she called when she landed, looking around the flat.

Her timing couldn't have been better. Zacharias was a good host but only when he was actually having a party. If he had to have prolonged conversations about nothing, he got bored with the whole concept. He definitely didn't want to be discussing the Quidditch World Cup. He'd been over it a dozen times with his brother after they'd made it home then a few dozen more with his parents.

It was luck he'd even made it out here. If his father hadn't been on his side, he'd have been stuck in Wales.

"Give me a minute. Make yourself at home!" He called. Zacharias knew she had to have turned up in the office. He was a couple doors down and didn't take much more time fighting with his curls. He could have gelled it all down, but his hair occassionally liked to breathe.

Also, he planned on getting really drunk and gelled hair just became a nusance.

ooc: THIS is the place they're renting for him in Paris.

Daphne wandered out into the hallway to get a better look at the place. It was impressive and not what she had been expecting. It took a lot to impress a girl like Daphne Greengrass. She was glad she had worn all her favorite designers, wearing her money were everyone could see it.

She made her way down to the livingroom and took a seat on the plush sofa. She crossed her long legs, knowing that the skirt of her dress would rise. It didn't bother her anymore, not like it would have before. She was done with polite manors.

A few minutes later, Zacharias managed to shrug into his jacket. His hair was as perfect as it was going to get.

He strolled out into the hall, straightening out his shirt. He stepped into the living room and gave Daphne a once over and smirk.

"Gorgeous, as always."

Daphne stood up, a pleasant grin on her face. Again, she was impressed.

"You clean up well, Smith," she told him, approving of his wardrobe choices. How the hell was this guy a Hufflepuff?

"I do what I can," he gave her a nod. Chuckling a little, he shrugged. This was actually dressed down for him. Megan would have been in hysterics. At least he hadn't broken out anything pink for the night.

"I'm deferring to the expert here. Have a plan?" Granted, Zacharias was fine wandering around and seeing what he found. Until Daphne had decided to come over, that was his plan.

Daphne thought for a moment, trying to remember her usual spots. It amazed her that it took her this long to get out.

"There's a fantastic club downtown called 'Envy' - no muggles either. It's fronted as a learning center. Then afterwards my cousins are having a bash at their estate."

Her cousins were never shy about their parties, which they threw quite frequently. They insisted on being the best, which meant always showing off.

Zacharias nodded along. An eyebrow shot up when she mentioned a place with no Muggles. Honestly, Zacharias thought Muggles were quite entertaining.

But he was not having that argument tonight.

"Clubs and parties. It's like you've known me my whole life."

Daphne didn't have a problem with muggles - she had never really had much interaction with them at all. But without them, it made getting drinks much quicker and basically anything possible.

"I had a feeling you would like tonight's plan."

"It's pretty brilliant, I'll admit," Zacharias grinned. He grabbed his wand from an end table, not planning on using it but wanting it around if necessary, and stashed it in his inside jacket pocket.

"Are we walking then?" He motioned her ahead of him.
