Mother is having a fit. Apparently, the best way to make sure I'm not killed due to lack of supervision is to ship me off to France where I have less supervision.
I'm not complaining. It took me four hours to convince her Cardiff with my cousins one who may or may not be a Death Eater or just sympathetic to whatever bloody cause they have is more

He strolled out into the hall, straightening out his shirt. He stepped into the living room and gave Daphne a once over and smirk.
"Gorgeous, as always."

"You clean up well, Smith," she told him, approving of his wardrobe choices. How the hell was this guy a Hufflepuff?

"I'm deferring to the expert here. Have a plan?" Granted, Zacharias was fine wandering around and seeing what he found. Until Daphne had decided to come over, that was his plan.

"There's a fantastic club downtown called 'Envy' - no muggles either. It's fronted as a learning center. Then afterwards my cousins are having a bash at their estate."
Her cousins were never shy about their parties, which they threw quite frequently. They insisted on being the best, which meant always showing off.

But he was not having that argument tonight.
"Clubs and parties. It's like you've known me my whole life."
Reply
"I had a feeling you would like tonight's plan."

"Are we walking then?" He motioned her ahead of him.

"I wouldn't mind getting some fresh air before hand." It felt like she had been locked up inside for days.

Turning, he led the way through the living room and down the entry hall to the front door, hitting light switches as they passed.
When they stepped out into the garden, the street still had several people wandering about. Zacharias wasn't shocked; it just made him even happier to have avoided the Cardiff suburbs.

Daphne lead them towards the left, into the city center.
"Is your flat new? It seems very...clean."

Zacharias kept pace with her but let her have the lead. He'd been to Paris before, but those were brief trips. The whole city was basically still new to him. The novelty hadn't worn off yet.
"It's a rental with the option to buy, apparently." If Zacharias got his way, they would own this place before summer was out. He was a little in love with it. "My mother had a crew of cleaners in. Muggles first, then witches to double check. She doesn't trust the look of house elves."
Reply
But the mention of house elves made her waver. She hadn't realized how much she had grown attached her her own elf until her father had had her killed. It was too cruel a thought to think of.
"Very smart, having it double checked. You can't leave these things to chance. Especially vacation locations."

He'd had that exact thought as soon as his mother had walked him inside. This place was epic and huge. And he was all alone. If there was ever an appropriate place and time, this was it.
"You really can't. It's why we gave up the flat in Madrid. It was either a disaster from lack of use or we couldn't find anyone worth hiring." Sometimes, Zacharias hated the words that came out of his mouth.
Reply
"You'd really be doing your classmates a disservice if you didn't throw something. I bet hardly anyone has been or partied in such a place. And I could offer up some hired help for bartending and such."
The two turned a corner; they were getting close. Daphne felt a little bit anxious. Though, this type of talk was fun with Riah. Nothing serious. They were just two teenagers looking for a good time. The way it was supposed to be.

"It would be a travesty, to be sure," Zacharias laughed. "Plus, chance to show off. Can't really say that I've ever let one of those pass me by."
Reply
"I can't say I've never shown off," she said, putting her hands on her hips and showcasing her own body as example. Not only the clothes but her petite frame. It was one of the few things Daphne really worked for - morning runs and strict diet. She had a right to show off.
