There was a little pub Zacharias knew a bit too well. He wasn't sure who had found it originally, his brother, his cousin, or himself. Either way, the Drunken Monkey Pub was local and meant Zacharias didn't have to try not to splinch himself by Apparating home at the end of the night. Plus, it was full of Muggle townies; those girls were always so

"How much do I have to catch up?" he asked in a mock-serious tone, ordering a drink from the bar. "Whiskey, thank you."

"You're only one behind," he nodded to Bradley. Finishing his drink, Zacharias motioned for another before telling the bartender "And send another of whatever the brunette in red is drinking."
Zacharias turned to look at Bradley. "How's hols and hiccups?"

Cooper took a glance down the bar at the girl. It was Riah's usual type-- the cute girl down the way. "Blessed muggles, they don't know what they're getting into with you," he smirked.

"Not a bloody clue. It's amazing. Why do you think I love this place?"

"So... How were your hols?"

"They were completely ridiculous. Da nearly died trying to beat Elijah at Quidditch and some how or other, Elijah got me in drag. Which was irritating enough before Cecilia showed up."
Yeah, ridiculous about covered it.

Choosing the seat facing in the direction of the muggle girl was clearly the right choice. Every so often her glances would land on his cousin, before she would attempt to nonchalantly turn away.

He shuffled around, using the motion to turn and glance back at the girl. Keeping his back to her was definitely intentional and the glances he kept obviously sending her were all part of his usual game. He gave her a nod toward a table in the more dimly lit corner; she ducked her head and giggled. Everything was still going according to plan.
"If you can talk her into the rest of them, I'd owe you, Coop." Not that he really held out much hope. Someone other than Cecilia had probably seen him when he was parading around in that ridiculous dress.

Family time always seemed to be drinking time, but he still wasn't as good as his cousin at it. Must be from the other side of the family... He already was feeling a bit lightheaded, which meant he was going to have to start using vanishing charms.

"Thanks. I'd appreciate if all those things burned." Granted, in retrospect, the whole going-for-coffee-in-drag thing had been a really hilarious way to start the new year.
When the new drink showed up, Zacharias raised it in a toast directed at the girl he'd been making eyes at. She was over the blushing thing and was looking at him a bit more intently. She flipped her hair and that was a sign if he ever saw one.
Zacharias turned back to Bradley. "What do you think? She look like she's worth the effort?" Granted, she could be crazy since she was at a bar alone, but Zacharias could deal with crazy for a night.

It was worth a few bucks to not have his family mock him, and for the sake of his needed sobriety for his nosy moments. "Another," he asked, motioning the bartender.

"Oh shite..." he muttered, starting to laugh. "Oh shite!"

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Erin was on her feet and tugging at the giant's arm. "Chad, seriously, this isn't...it was harmless."
Chad shook her off. "Stay out of it. He had no business crawling all over you." Then he turned his attention back to Zacharias, almost looking surprised that he hadn't move. But this was Zacharias Smith and Smith's didn't back down from things often. Their determination was really more of a stubbornness. "What, you think just because a lady is alone she's fair game?"
Zacharias squared his shoulders, shrugging and putting on a smirk. If it came to blows he didn't know what he'd do, but he was damn sure going to go down bitching. "The lady wasn't too put out. She's been making eyes at me all night. Maybe you need to take this up with he ( ... )
