There was a little pub Zacharias knew a bit too well. He wasn't sure who had found it originally, his brother, his cousin, or himself. Either way, the Drunken Monkey Pub was local and meant Zacharias didn't have to try not to splinch himself by Apparating home at the end of the night. Plus, it was full of Muggle townies; those girls were always so

"Not to run off on you, but it's unavoidable. Watch a master at work; you could use the tips, mate." Maybe he should have felt bad for abandoning his cousin this early in the evening, but he needed to see if he could get anywhere with the girl (and if she was worth the effort or just had crazy eyes) before he missed his window.
Smirk in place, Zacharias slipped off his seat and headed down the bar. When he got close enough to the girl, he gave her a nod and slipped in the space between her stool and the one beside it. Leaning on the bar, Zacharias toasted her with his glass.
"Hi, beautiful. Been sitting all alone long?"
"I'm waiting for someone." It could have been curt, but she was blushing all over her face, which was actually very attractive with her complexion.
"Of course," he nodded. "Mind if I keep you company for a bit?"
She bit her lip and then shook her head. "Stay as long as you like. I'm Erin, by the way."
"Riah," Zacharias nodded and reached out to brush her wavy hair from her shoulder. Erin giggled and leaned into the touch, welcomed it. He tossed a look back toward Bradley to let him know just how easy this was and caught sight of some bloke about twice his own size stalking through the bar with a severe frown.

"Oh shite..." he muttered, starting to laugh. "Oh shite!"

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Erin was on her feet and tugging at the giant's arm. "Chad, seriously, this isn't...it was harmless."
Chad shook her off. "Stay out of it. He had no business crawling all over you." Then he turned his attention back to Zacharias, almost looking surprised that he hadn't move. But this was Zacharias Smith and Smith's didn't back down from things often. Their determination was really more of a stubbornness. "What, you think just because a lady is alone she's fair game?"
Zacharias squared his shoulders, shrugging and putting on a smirk. If it came to blows he didn't know what he'd do, but he was damn sure going to go down bitching. "The lady wasn't too put out. She's been making eyes at me all night. Maybe you need to take this up with he-"
Chad curled a hand in Zacharias' shirt. "You calling my girlfriend a whore, mate?"
And then, because his mouth was always his downfall, Zacharias muttered. "Your words, man. You'd know how slutty she is."
And that's when the guy pulled back a fist and Zacharias ducked just in time. Chad fell off balance enough for Zacharias to dodge from around him.
"Maybe it's the temper. Hear it's a turnoff," Zacharias heckled, barely jumping out of the way of another blow. The next hit, however, caught Zacharias right in the nose and that fucking hurt. There was a crunch sound and his eyes watered. There was blood on his face, Zacharias felt it, but he shook it off and caught Chad with a blow to chin and a knee to the stomach.
Chad rallied quickly though and the next hit had Zacharias spinning around and falling back against the table. It all happened really fast and Zacharias couldn't catch his breath enough to regain his feet, even if Chad was advancing and Erin was yelling and where the hell what his back up when he needed it?
