Faith Episode 13; Apparently they found a way to kill me with laughter even. Part II
PoSlime passes by, and she tells him he doesn't show up so much on exams, so maybe he's not important? He asks how much she can trust that memory.
Ok, my heart is already shattering for Jang Bin like a windscreen after being hit by a rock; the cobweb cracks are there, waiting to be shattered. And this is without him getting a lot of screentime *groan*
Purge of the officials in process. Gi Cheol steps in to say that there is an administrative wing for that, so he need not handle it in person.
"Oh you mean ?"
"Yes, of course."
"Oh that~ I abolished that this morning~"
Before any blood can be shed- or would it be frozen, in Gi Cheol's case?- PoSlime steps in to introduce himself, and asks whether he knew that his father (which would be King's Grandad) had tried to carry out a similar purge. It's a catch-22. Don't know and you'll be humiliated for lack of knowledge, do know and you'll be humiliated as a mere over-ambitious imitator.
The King takes the words hard, and broods. Choi Young goes to see him, and he gets asked his motivation for being loyal to him. Choi Young asks if it matters, as he toys with the red dagger he apparently ended up buying for Eun Soo.
She has nightmares and wakes up screaming, which means Choi Young rushes to her, only to get stopped by Doc. Apparently this is a nightly occurence to be expected after going through such trauma, which no one knows about due to Eun Soo's constantly smiling face. Stab to the heart for Choi Young. Stab to the heart for Moya too.
Plan kidnap PoSlime in action... way too much smiling, not good for heart. And if Choi Young beckoned to me like that, I would have that look on my face too.
'Fess up. You stepped of Fushigi Yuugi, dinna you. DINNA YOU!?!
He tells her to stay away from the High Doctor.
She asks what he'd do if she doesn't.
"No amount of glue will be able to attach that right hand back to your arm."
PoSlime is instructed to find a way to obtain the diary and share it with Eun Soo. Maybe with the info inside, Gi Cheol will take him seriously. Otherwise, he can be buried into the ground the moment Gi Cheol feels he's useless. Oh, and be careful of the High Doctor. She has both, a penchant for sharp objects and a fiery temper.
He's walking, and he actually stops. Turns back. And peeks. To see her giving away free mung bean and herb soaps (speaking of which, did DBSK seriously name one of their new songs "Like a Soap" or is that a typo on me copy?). And then he smile a teeny weeny smiley line thing and leaves. Watch it.
Takes too long to get the dagger out, he gives her the new one, still takes too long. It's not the dagger dude, it's the 16 layers she's wearing.
"Do you think your enemies will wait while you draw that out?"
"The people I use knives on lie in front of me, usually willingly, knocked out cold!"
"Turn it upside down."
Tsk, use more power! Fiiiinnneee I guess I'll have to show you~

It ends with the guys having his arms around you, closing his eyes, snuggling into your hair and holding onto you longer than necessary until the you elbowing the guy loose.

She breathes that they're liars. No way is that book a thousand years old and that well preserved. She can still see the highlighter marks clearly. Someone's been lying.
He's apprehensive, but it's the most he can do for her, he figures...
Aaanndd shit hits the fan. Here's the thing. No one can say anything against the scholars because uptil now technically and based on the evidence, they're right. But it's obvious to everyone that he's been framed by Gi Cheol, and Gi Cheol is not even bothering to hide it fully. To me, the most important dialogue of this whole exchange was when Choi Young asked him why he bothered framing him with 500 nyangs when he could have just as easily gone with High Treason, and Gi Cheol looks him in the eye and tells him that it's because that's how he wants him to go down as.. the man whose price was 500 nyangs, not even High Treason. And that, in a nutshell, is Gi Cheol. Instead of a single powerful stroke and a merciful death, he will kick you to the ground, make you lick his boots, and grind your face into the dust with that boot till you suffocate.
