Log 25
Well, now I remember why I don't do lapidary work more often! Cutting and polishing gems is a chore in and of itself, but I forgot how much work it is to get the stones into the proper setting! Also, me being me, I took my gloves off for just a couple of minutes and ended up burning my left palm all to hell and my right palm is singed a little too. Still, I got a really nice necklace and bracelet done as well as a few rings (strike while the fire's hot, so to speak) so I won't be doing it for a while, believe me!
I think a nice evening in will be just the thing. Maybe tomorrow I can bend my hands enough to wrap the necklace without yelping like a wounded dog. My dad is going to give me such grief for taking my gloves off, but it was my own damned fault.
