I didn't eat all that well on Saturday.
I had a big bowl of cereal and milk in the AM, and a coffee on my way to the Faire.
At the Faire I had a chicken finger (friend) and some french fries. Good, but fried, and salty.
I basically skipped dinner, then tried to take myself out to a movie and failed.
At the pub later, I had a couple of Guinness, and ordered Nachos to put something on my belly lest I be a little too fuzzy to drive home. 2 Beers on an empty stomach = me not safe to drive.
So I had a plate of fried, salty nacho chips with some cheeze melted on them.
Essentially, a lousy day for eating due to poor planning and limited choices.
For exercise, all I did was stroll around the faire for a few hours.
For Sunday, I did a bit better.
Had a bowl of cereal for breakfast.
Went to the movie theater, had an 8 oz coffee and a slice of mushroom pizza for lunch.
Had a couple (like, 8) M&M's on the drive home.
Then I did cardio, 7.5 min warm up, 30 minutes of jogging at 5.2 mph, and 7.5 min of cool down.
I had a salad (a little bowl, just greens with a bit of creamy balsamic vinagrette) at about 10PM, because I was REALLY HUNGRY.
So, I find that like many folks, the unstructured weekends are my downfall. I didn't plan well for eating, and found myself eating what was available on Saturday, which wasn't what I'd normally eat (chicken fingers, fries, and Nachos are all pretty much huge exceptions to what I'd normally eat).
Today so far I had 3/4 of a muffin and a coffee. I have to see what kind of good stuff they offer for lunch today. Luckily, we've got a good cafeteria with a lot of healthy choices. I just have to remember PORTION because they'll give you big portions, and really I only have to eat HALF of what they give me to be a meal. I should be able to get 2 meals out of a lunch here.
LUNCH UPDATE:
Had 8 little California Rolls. And then a package of Milano cookies. After just rice, seaweed, a bit of fake crab, and cucumbers, I was STILL HUNGRY.
Went home, jumped on the treadmill and did 30 minutes of cardio. I discovered that I could increase the incline, and use the little arm-thingies, so I power-walked for a half-hour watching the X-men movie.
cool. Now when I want to give my knees a rest, I can just power walk at an incline :-) Still a good workout.
