HUNGRY - Day 128, Sat June 10, 2006

Jun 10, 2006 11:08

Slept a REALLY LONG TIME. Was asleep at midnight, but all week I have slept very little, and generally like sh*t. No more than 5 and a half hours a night. It's been hard driving home from work, as I get pretty sleepy on the drive. Crank open the windows, and do my best to be alert, and safe. Luckily it's been cold-ish all week.

Anyhow, I slept 10 hours! Woke up, looked at the clock, and jumped out of bed guiltily, as I feared the horses would be pretty mad (they don't like being left hungry). Ran up the hill, and actually, they were attentive, but Pal wasn't marching around his paddock pushng fences, and Jedi wasn't pawing. I gave them a big dinner last night (give then something else to think about besides the rain and mud), so they were OK.

Pal is now walking around outside. His dinner-plate sized feet sink 8 inches into the muddy paddock, so I let him out in the training area to walk around. He can stay out half the day, then I'll put Jedi out.

It's cool and finally beginning to get a bit breezy. I want MORE wind. Just being outside for 20 minutes feeding, I was attacked by very aggressive mosquitoes. The little buggers are flourishing in the warm, wet, still atmospheric conditions. We need wind to blow them around.

OK, big day of cleaning today. Clean the house, but first EAT!

I didn't eat much yesterday. A muffin, a coffee, half of a powerbar, a few peanuts. I didn't eat when I got home. Rather, I hopped on the treadmill. So I was well below my 1500 calores needed to simply maintain my weight, and I did cardio, too.

So, time for breakfast. OK, it's after 11 AM. Let's say brunch.
