Cheese-eating surrender monkeys

Quote of the Day: February 10, 2007
"Three general justifications for zombie termination appear to be as follows: a) they are (or are very close to being) brain-dead: b) because of their radically altered life goals, what personality is left lacks the same personal identity as the original individual, releasing us from prior obligations; and c) after zombification they are usually homicidal cannibalistic killers."
-She's Not Your Mother Anymore, She's a Zombie!: Zombies, Value and Personal Identity by Hamish Thompson

So. Despite having a couple really good weeks, I've had a tough few days. Anywho. This is my life in point from.
* For the rest of the weekend these are my plans - finish book, have bubble bath, back up all car CDs onto laptop, clear out redundant files onto LACIE, watch a couple movies, have pj day - I know I'm a dork and I'm okay with it.
* There were an abnormal amount of the following in the mall the past few days - bitches, teenagers and cute guys. The bitches made me want to go postal. The teenagers made me feel very old. The cute guys where fun to flirt with. Oh and why do teenagers travel in gaggles? And were there's a large group of girls there's always a large group of boys near by but never with? It's like watching the National Geographic channel.
* I managed to buy a whole new wardrobe for under $30 this week thanks to massive sales at Chinook Centre. Most notably were the $20 spent at Old Navy that got me four pairs of pants, three sweaters, two shirts and a purse. I kid you not.
* And the bad side of having all those cute guys in the store, they were all buying Valentine's card for girlfriends/boyfriends/wives. But there was a notable exception, all tall red head wearing a toque, a dress jacket, blue jeans and a t-shirt. He was going to a baptism and needed a card, a bag and tissue. He was easy on the eyes.
* Oh. And why am I backing up all my car CDs to my laptop. Because road dirt has destroyed them. I just hope I'm not too late. Stupid dirt roads. I just can't get it out of my car. Any suggestions?
* This cold snap is funny because you get to listen to everyone whining. I enjoy it. Mainly because I don't have to shovel snow. Thank goodness.
* I'm addicted to buying books. I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore until I got a bunch read, but I went online the other night and bough a bunch. Chapters is my heroin.
* I finally watched Bon Cop Bad Cop and it is a must see. Very Canadian. But I wasn't brave enough to watch the official bilingual version. See. My French. It's not as good as it once was. But, here's the premise for those out there that know nothing of it. Someone is killing people connected to a defunct hockey team. One body is discovered splayed on the Welcome to Ontario/ Leaving Quebec Sign. Cop from OPP turns up (Bon Cop) and Montreal cop shows up (Bad Cop). They become partners because neither organization wants to give case to RCMP. Now add in language jokes, hockey jokes, Rick Mercer, explosions, fights, bad driving and one very fast talking French lab tech and you've got a very amusing buddy cop film with a Canadian twist. I even liked the welcome from the director before the film that explained the different versions, thanked everyone for buying/renting the film and rambled on.

These CDs are now uploaded: Virgin Recommends No 20; Barenaked Ladies Maybe You Should Drive; T-Rex Messing with the Mystic, The Clash The Story of the Clash Disks 1 & 2; The Flummies 25th Anniversary Album; Absolute Classics Volume 3; O Brother, Where Art Thou Soundtrack.

So far these are the tracks that are un-saveable and crash my system due to road dirt/scratches/general misuse: The Clash - Police and Thieves; The Flummies - Comb Your Hair Flap Down; The Clash - I Fought the Law.

So. If you have any of the above tracks, or want any of the above albums, let me know. Will take and or pass on. Cheers. More albums to come. But now, it's book and bubble bath time.

just life, movies, zombies, books, thoughts, music, shopping
