Hey all, not too terribly much new, at least that I can say on here, but one thing is my "hobby" I've picked up as a mechanic working on my HMMWV (hum-vee). Our Motor T mech we brought with us is an idiot so they found another guy in the platoon to fill in. Well he's been busy so I've volunteered to do all the work on my vehicle and save him some load. In return he's granted me access to all the tools and parts I -need :-D he-he-he This is also making me look good to my VC (vehicle commander), but I'm actually doing it so 1 it gets done amd 2 because I realize keeping my vehcile alive keeps us alive. So far I've replace some of the coolant lines, worked on the brakes, fixed the rear hatch (which included A LOT of replacing parts and findind them in our bone yard), installed and IR light (Infra-red head light that only NVG- night vision goggles can see, so we can drive around with no lights on that the naked eye can see, but we can see just fine :-P ) taken some stupid stuff on the turret that was in the way, replaced two tires, fixed the wipper blades motor and replaced a washer fluid spout was well as reaiming them so they'll hit our new armored windows, fixed all the door handles so it's easy to get out quick, fixed the lights on the dash, and lubed all the lube points (not to mention checking fluid levels EVERY day) :-) Been keeping me busy, even working late at night with a light on my head, but I enjoy it and the time goes by faster :-)
Well it's my B-day today so I'm goona go see if the chow hall has any cake now since my time is up here, talk to you all again soon. Love you and miss you all, Tim.
PS Kayla, I miss you bad, but I got a great smile when I dreamt of you the other night. Love you babe!
