OMG! Jarrod's younger brother, Nick, was one of my very first crushes! When everyone else was drooling over Heath, my sympathies lay with his older brothers (liked Nick best, then Jarrod). Loved that show, as well as "Bonanza" and "Alias Smith and Jones" for all the heat factor (although my girlish fantasies involved pecks on the cheek at the time--lol). Heehee! Thanks for the memories, as Bob Hope would've said (yup, just dated myself, but what the heck!).

Oh wow, I usually struggle to find anyone who's watched The Big Valley! I like Nick too actually. I should really get some DVDs and watch more, because over here we just get occasional 'film' versions where they've blatantly strung two episodes together and passed it off as a TV movie!

Oh, and wow, Alias Smith and Jones, I adore that. Pete Duel was such a brilliant actor - always makes me a bit sad watching it. I think I've seen most of the episodes. Brilliant show.

Oh yeah, I grew up on those two, "Robin Hood" of course, "The Rockford Files" (gramma's crush), and "Bonanza."

AS&J has a comm here--aliassmithjones--that I just joined. One of the recent posts has a vid of the song "Simple Gifts" with Pete Duel singing in the beginning--it's heartbreaking and beautiful to watch. Makes me cry all over again for his loss.

I now have new DVDs to add to my b-day and Christmas wish lists. If nothing else, I'm enjoying your TV meme!
