Strangers on a Train

Very stylish and very Hitchcock. Classic shots, pleasantly atmospheric. It seems bad and wrong of me to have found it generally a bit dull, even as it was climaxing. I was interested enough to keep watching, but never completely warmed to any character in the end, and felt a bit let down by the convenient ending. Plus, the bit on the carousel was a bit random (though very Hitchcock), but at least it's nice to know that nobody cares when the police shoot the carousel operator by accident...

P.S. And no, Farley Granger is *not* the son of Stewart Granger! He's American, for goodness' sake! And also a bit too old.
