Please tell me I'm the only person who's nearly sliced the top of their finger off in a cheese grater related accident?

Yay! Which bit of the grater got you? With me it was the slicey bit.

What else is there on a grater?

I think the worst thing I did to the top of my finger was with a lino cutter...

That's less embarrassing than a cheese grater though ;)

A cheese grater is significantly less embarrassing than a bunch of grapes, at least.

...? This is a different story to your wrist, is it? But a bunch of grapes?

Thumb, not finger, in my case. But yes. We ate the fondue quite happily knowing it had bits of my skin in though :-P

I'd eat grated-skin-containing fondue under certain circumstances, and I'm a vegetarian :-).

:) To echo Becky, I have a nagging feeling one isn't supposed to share blood with people you don't know really well, but bits of person don't seem to trip *any* of my vege reasons not to eat something, except possibly the "ew" one, and it doesn't in this case.

I've scratched myself with cheese graters, yes. But much more dramatically, when I was a toddler I attempted to sharpen my finger in a pencil sharpener!

Eek, that sounds painful. Did you take any skin off?

Though pointy fingers would be cool.

Apparently I was fairly successful at sharpening my finger! My mother came into the room to find me staring in shock at my finger, embedded in a pencil sharpener, with blood running down my hand...

A month ago, I sliced my thumb TWICE cutting vegetables.

And my right leg has two holes in it.

*HUGS* How's your wound coming along now? (the leg, not the thumb)
