It was so sad, and yet somehow so right for the character, when Guy flipped and drove his sword into her. And a wonderful metaphor for what he's been wanting to do for her all along indeed!
That made me laugh SO HARD, because ... IT'S SO TRUE. XD

I think I really will miss Marian because Lucy's acting talent is superb -- and at times it almost outshines Jonas's performance in their scenes. I hope she doesn't come back as some sort of ghost in the third season, because that would be a total waste...

I've decided not to write an episodes reaction post this time round because, as your comments prove, everyone else seems to be doing the job for me and I can just leave replies agreeing to pretty much EVERYTHING everyone says!

All I shall say is

DITTO..

On and YEY finally, Much got his chance to say it how it is to Robin. I was pretty much applauding when he told Robin...and when Robin replied...'I don't..do I?' I yelled 'Oh Yes You Do' so loud you'd think I had been practising a visit to a pantomime.

Third season will be interesting...No Marian will be weird, more angsty Robin, hmm not sure how I feel about that, I'm hoping they come up with some way of bringing Will and Djaq back from the Holy land because leaving them there = BIG NO NO!

Ooh, yay, I love your list. Even though I am still in TOTAL ANGUISH over the majority of this episode, I do have to agree with a lot of your points which make it some levels of awesome.

16) Meanwhile, Marian sort of let everything Guy had been hiding slip by attacking the Sheriff openly. ... So, more than most other strands of the two episodes, I think this one felt like a plot device.

A day later, and this is STILL my biggest hangup with the episode -- I feel like Marian was just one giant plot device in this episode, which was frustrating to NO END because usually she is my most favourite person in the world. Ugh...

33) But OMG, Guy didn't do it! ... What he did was right on so many levels, and it made me completely forget that I'd been hoping he would do as Marian wished and end up marrying her.

...But it did somehow turn Guy into my most favourite person instead. I mean, I've always loved him, but I thought I would go into full on hatred mode if he chose the Sheriff over Marian. And somehow it played out so right, to the point ( ... )

When you said in a previous post that someone was going to die I had an inkling it might be Marian. I thought it best not to mention it in case I was right and you hadn't considered it.

I must say that 'dead' seems a tad spurious after 'really killed'. I have yet to come across a case of a really killed person who wasn't dead.

Yeah, but they killed off Marian last season for a cheap cliffhanger. This time Guy used a much bigger knife and did it right.
