2. Also known as "why I've always thought Chrissie Hynde was cool." And it about makes up for the stuff with PETA, although I'm not sure anything could make up for the Jim Kerr thing.
Try not to have a sexual relationship within the band. It always ends in tears.

3. And here I heaved a heavy sigh. Yes, indeed. What's working for me is not reading things I know I won't enjoy, whether it's particular live journal entries, mailing list posts, or stories with certain pairings--and the list of pairings I can't stand gets longer by the day.
I would have commented on this earlier, by the way, but mini-minx has figured out that the computer is a serious rival and tries to pound it whenever I boot up. So if you ever get a message that's all "sddddddddddd" or the like, that's why.

Really? Wow. I'd never heard that. He always struck me as essentially humorless, which is why I made that crack about him.
Did Chrissie Hynde get involved with others in the Pretenders, then?
I think so, at any rate-- with the guitarist in the earliest version of the band, if memory serves. Which it may not. Yesterday I forgot the surname of one of our secretaries; I've only known her for 6 years.
Fandom antics: I stopped keeping track after a few hundred posts. Mob mentality, indeed. And yes, there were some surprising participants.
I wonder if a wide range of things can only be read when you don't really care much about staying close to canon, and prefer to use it as a base (ie providing a universe and a collection of character ( ... )
