When Nightwing arrived at the assigned place at the assigned time there was a woman standing near the edge of the building. He wondered if Catwoman had changed her costume again. The platinum hair certainly was different, but it wasn’t Catwoman. This woman was taller and the black material hugging her body in all the right places... Nightwing shook his head sending those thoughts to the back of his mind. What did Spiderman need his help with and why was this woman there, too?
“You’re late.” She informed him, turning around to face him. She was visibly surprised by his presence, “And…you would be?” she asked, her green eyes narrowing.
Nightwing weighed his options. She might or might not be Spiderman’s friend. She might or might not even know him. She might simply be a new villain.
He decided the straightforward approach usually worked best, “Who are you?”
She smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes, “Listen-”
“Ah, I see you two have met.” Spiderman’s jovial voice interrupted her. He landed a few feet away from them.
“No,” the woman answered, smiling at the web-slinger, “but we were about to.”
“Black Cat this is Nightwing. Nightwing this is Black Cat.”
“Oh…” Black Cat mused, looking appreciatively from Spiderman to Nightwing, “…so this is the fun you were talking about…”
Spiderman nodded and Nightwing could have sworn the hero in red licked his lips under his mask.
…
He sized up the woman standing before and shook his head, “Look, Canary told me what yer after, but I gotta tell ya, you don’t have what it takes. The sweet science ain’t for you.”
Helena immediately wanted to lunge towards him-kick him, punch him, hurt him-but Dinah had warned her to be patient; Ted had his own method of teaching. She bit back the rage she felt at his words and after a deep breath, forced herself to speak without much anger in her voice, “What do I need to do for you to teach me?”
Wildcat turned away, “Forget it, kid. I ain’t waistin’ my time witcha.”
“That’s it!” Huntress became a blur of fists and knees. She swung and kicked with all her might, but Wildcat blocked every move without so much as breaking a sweat.
“If you’re going to fight me, then fight me!” she yelled, “Stop holding back.”
Wildcat laughed, “I ain’t about to hit a woman who obviously can’t defend herself.”
She wanted to tear her hair out, but when she saw him grinning, she managed to reel in the anger. He was doing this on purpose. She took a step toward s him and removed her mask, “Teach me.”
His grin only grew. This one was gonna be fun!
…
“You’ll have to do better than that, birdie.”
“Is that a fact, kitty?”
Catwoman’s whip cracked through the air, “It is.”
“Not everyone needs a little o’ whip to cause damage,” Black Canary taunted. The blonde sidestepped the whip, grabbing the end and pulling it with all her strength. The other woman came crashing towards her. Canary twirled the whip, using it to ensnare its owner.
“Is that a fact, birdie?” Catwoman asked as she struggled to free her body from the strong hold.
Black Canary smiled. She pushed Catwoman against a ventilation duct and used her own body to hold the captive in place, “There’s no need to fight me, kitty cat, I won’t bite.”
Catwoman felt the warm breath against her ear, sending a pleasant shiver down her spine. Being held in this position by Black Canary certainly was …different. Nothing hard pressing into her buttocks, only soft curves pressing at her back. Catwoman could smell her perfume and it took all her restraint not to moan in appreciation, “What do you want?”
“You sure you want to listen, now?” Canary asked, sliding her hands from the whip to Catwoman’s waist.
The former thief didn’t notice when the whip around her loosened, her mind only registered the two hands that moved to either side of her waist. The whip fell with a soft thud on the rooftop.
Black Canary slid her hands along the small waist, feeling the taut stomach muscles underneath the leather.
:.Dinah, have you located Catwoman?
Right hand slid up.
:.Dinah?
The other hand slid down.
“Yeah, I got her.” Canary replied into her commlink. She could hear Oracle typing as she spoke.
Catwoman raised an eyebrow and looked over her shoulder. Canary only smiled, her left hand slipping lower between the leather covered thighs. Catwoman bit her lip, her own hands reaching back to touch the woman behind her.
:.Is she willing to cooperate?
Canary’s smile grew, “Yeah, she’s willing to cooperate.” Reaching the zipper, Canary began to pull it down. Catwoman shivered as the cold air hit her skin, but didn’t make any move to stop her.
:.Good. You can give her the information then.
Catwoman removed her goggles. She turned around, green eyes glinting in the moonlight. Blue eyes watched hungrily as the rest of the zipper slid down, black leather giving way to soft, pale skin. Then the entire garment was thrown aside revealing a sumptuous, purple lace bra.
“Oh,” Dinah licked her lips, “I’ll give it to her, alright.”
…
“Jubilee? Jubilee, where are you?” She looked around, “Great. This is what happens when I listen to you.” She took a tentative step forward. The city was dark. Very little light made its way to where she stood, “Where the hell am I?”
He watched her from a distance as she played with an “X” from her belt.
“Cyclops. Can you hear me? Beast? Anyone? Oh, man.”
She bit her lip and sighed. She looked around again and then started to phase through the roof.
Robin narrowed his eyes. He grabbed his bo staff and moved out of the shadows, “Hey!”
She froze. Then, phased faster until her entire form was gone.
“Hey!” Robin called again. He stood near the spot where she had disappeared. She moved like J’onn, he thought. He pressed two fingers to the area she had been standing on. It was solid. He looked around and before he could take a step, something grabbed his foot.
Suddenly, his legs were phasing through the rooftop, “What the-”
The girl appeared a few feet away, “Who are you?” she asked, keeping her distance.
Robin looked down at his legs and he could only see them from his thighs up. He gave a relieved sigh that other parts of him weren’t currently stuck through the roof. He wiggled his toes and felt a little better. At least, they were still attached, “What do you want?” he asked, not betraying the concern he was starting to feel.
She was staring at the “R” on his suit. Jubilee had described him, but this guy wasn’t wearing any green, “What’s your name,” she asked.
“What?
“You’re name? I’m Shadowcat.”
Code name? He could give her that, “Robin.”
She smiled, “It is you! Jubilee’s going to be so jealous!” She reached for his hand and he only took it after he heard that name. She phased him through the roof so that he was once again standing atop of it instead of hanging through it, “Jubilee was right. You are cute!”
Robin quirked an eyebrow and Shadowcat only smiled. She would have to remember to thank Jubilee whenever she got back home.
…
This is what he got for trying to help Bruce out. After chasing her over ten blocks, they ended up atop the Bank of Gotham building. Catwoman was standing across from him, her hand ready to go for her whip. She had not tried to steal anything in some time. Why start now?
The bright lights from the bank’s Grand Reopening-after Penguin’s attempt to destroy it- hit her back, perfectly showcasing her curvy silhouette. He’d always thought she was attractive-he wasn’t as blind as Bruce pretended to be-but had she always been so…supple? Wait! What? No, sneaky. He meant sneaky. She had her whip in her hand and it happened without his noticing. He shook his head mentally and tried to coax it to keep quiet.
Catwoman cocked her head to the side. The kid had developed quite nicely. That suit of his showed off his assets rather well. Lean, but not bulky. The hair certainly helped. Looked mighty soft.
She grinned. Her eyes roamed up and down his body appreciatively.
He wasn’t sure when he started to grin, but he realized, his expression mirrored hers as he noticed for the first time how the leather seemed to be painted on her and not clothing at all.
She took a step closer and looked up at his face. Her eyes shown brighter by the dark lashes surrounding them and she knew her intent was clearly visible in them. But she didn’t care to hide it; he was absolutely delicious.
Nightwing looked at those pouty red lips grinning at him, for him? She’d kissed him once before and he found himself wondering if she still tasted the same. He’d told her no that other time, he wasn’t sure he could do it again. Wasn’t sure he wanted to, either.
There was a noise off to the side and they both looked away. The spell was broken. When their gaze returned to each other the warning voices had set in again.
“Stay out of trouble, Catwoman.”
“Wouldn’t happen even if I tried,” she winked.
He was surprised at how relieved he felt when she jumped off the rooftop and left.
