Alfred returned to the Manor two days early from his involuntarily taken week long vacation, only to find it in complete disarray. The library seemed to have experienced a small earthquake and judging by the material left behind, caused by Dick. The den had several of Helena’s toys scattered around; making the floor, in particular, quite a hazardous place to attempt to walk through. There were piles of empty beverage containers and food wrappers littered among the seats and tables in the game room, but that had become somewhat of a normal occurrence now that the boys and Cass had moved back in.
Alfred didn’t know which parties were responsible for the kitchen, but there must have been some kind of small culinary explosion in there, which would explain the many stains on the walls and countertops, plus the food on the ceiling currently threatening to come splattering down. After cleaning that up, he made his way up to the bedrooms. Tim’s room was almost frightening, but nothing compared to Jason’s.
Finally, Alfred headed to Bruce’s study where he found a few half finished coffee mugs with lipstick stains on them. Smiling, he looked up at the portrait of Thomas and Martha Wayne. He knew they would be happy the Manor was no longer an empty refuge for their son, but a home in every sense of the word.
