Recent Goings On

So Roy and Electra were married on Sunday, May 28th. It was very pretty! I was dumb though, and even though I knew I would be working before the wedding, I wore my dress shoes. Consequently, I went barefoot for the reception, which seemed fine because of the other dancers there. I did get intoxicated for the first time in what seems like years. Not hung over though. I blame the running around and lack of food. It was a good time though. Apparently I told someone that even if I wasn't sober I wouldn't tap dance. . .I have no idea on that one.

I videotaped the ceremony and the toasts at the reception. The toasts were wonderful, even if Derksen kept on moving around while I was trying to videotape him. I finally yelled at him to stand still, causing the entire crowd to burst out laughing. I have been told that it was one of the most hilarious moments of the reception. Funny thing, I wasn't trying to be funny, I just wanted him to stop moving! I was getting motion sickness:) We dropped the film off at Rite Aid over the weekend, so pictures should be posted this week on Joe's website.

Since then life has been returning to normal (whatever that is). Catching up on sleep and chores has been key. We didn't eat out at all this weekend, thank goodness. We spent a lot on meals out during the weekend of the wedding. I cooked:)

Now that one wedding is down, Joe and I have started working more intensely on our wedding. We created the save the date card last night, and started working on a list of songs for the DJ (we are meeting with him when we go in July, so we needed to get on that). The bridal shower invitations went out, and Joe and I worked on the shower registry on Friday. When we go to Cincy we are going to set up the Macy's registry, which will have the fancier stuff on it, like china and glassware and good knives and stuff. We have a whole slew of appointments when we arrive, which will be fun. I hope it doesn't get too stressful, I hope doing things a year in advance makes it easer. We will see.

How is everyone?!?!?!
