1.) I've always had a fondness for animation and cartoonish characters in particular. In college when I saw someone peforming as Willie I thought it would be kind of cool, but I was way to tall and didn't really have any kind of performance background, so I really didn't think of it after that point. Late in life I stumbled onto some videos of folks doing skits in their costumes and it looked like everyone was having a blast. I've always been too self-conscious to be the "class clown" type, so this seemed like a good outlet to make an ass of myself all while having it be both expected and entertaining.

2.) Honestly, the biggest is probably still a 10lb carp I caught out of the Rock River in Illinois when I was like 10 years old. Since I fish a lot for trout in smaller streams, I tend to focus mostly on the experience, colors, variety rather than size. Best trout though was a 26" 5 or 6 lb brown trout I caught in the White River in Arkansas. To add to the fun of that, I caught it on a size 20 pheasant tail that I had tied (poorly) myself.

3.) That's a good question. I was considering it for next year, but I've been invited out to Australia next year and plan to do that since I haven't been out of the country yet. We'll see what kind of vacation and funds I have left after that point. Fishing the McLoud, Pit, and Upper Sac area is high on my list though.

4.) I absolutely hate suits that have a funk to them and I'm paranoid about mine smelling badly. At first I used anti-microbial Febreeze on them and focused on fans getting it fully dried out before I wear it again. That was a big reason for the second suit, so I could go out again while the other was drying. Because Febreeze left a buildup though, now I make up bottles of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol cut 50% with distelled water. Cheaper than Febreeze and does a great job, leaving it scent neutral. Still focus heavily on getting them dried out, and I will spray it the Febreeze only about every 5th time or so.
