OK. I was tagged for this deal by
taffypinkdino so I guess I should answer the questions she game me.
If you would like to carry on this meme- comment to this entry and I will make five meme questions specifically for you to post in your journal.
1. Out of the characters you have created (I know you have a few) which one can you relate the most to and why?
I feel like this is a cop out, but none? I’ve never felt as deeply as furry as some folks do where they feel their character represents their true self. For me they are characters, and I’ve tried to make each one a part of my personality so I’d have something to connect to as a whole. In short summary, my characters represent the following:
Roby- fun, goofy, playful, shy at times, mischievous. Closest to my base personality, so if I was forced to pick, Roby would be it.
Winston- Snarky, aloof, grumpy, proper, trying to be “upper crust”, conflicted. Contains some less desirable aspects of my personality that I can let through at times.
Rockefeller- Confident, sexy, ruthless, leader, physical specimen. Represents things I kind of wish I could achieve.
Slugger -Gruff, aging, no-nonsense, reached the pinnacle of his profession and is now kind of the quiet mentor type. Captures my love of baseball and kind of a “dream” scenario for me with that. Also reflects my getting older and is kind of the imposing figure I think it would be cool to be.
2. Best experience you have ever had in costume was...
I’ve had my most fun interacting with people outside of conventions, when people are not expecting a giant walking animal around, so our trip to Doo Dah in Ocean City is high up there, along with going to the top of Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina.
For conventions, two moments that stand out for me was at FC when I did something in con theme for the first time and a couple of moments at the fursuit games at FCN this year where I pulled off a couple spontaneous things. These made me feel a little more like a performer and less like random guy in an animal suit.
3. If you had 24 hours to live what would you do with it?
I would try to spend it doing the things I like to do with close friends and family: a round of golf, some fly-fishing, a bbq, that kind of deal.
4. What's your favorite thing to do for vacation?
Get out into nature and away from every day life. It’s one of the things I like the most about fly-fishing, the isolation and serenity of it.
5. You are asked to choose to do one of these things for a million dollars: Eat a cockroach or eat a pile of dog poop. Which one would you choose?
Cockroach easily. They freak me out a bit, but I can get that done quickly and they are nutritional at least.
