i bought the new elliot smith cd. it was the best material still existing from before he committed suicide. if you listen to some of the songs, you can hear in his voice and in his lyrics that he almost knew what was going to happen - how it all was going to end. and how no one was there to save him.

it made me realize that if we don't fix ourselves, if we don't love ourselves, how can we expect others to do the same?
